LOWER HUTT CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Streets Reconstruction Loan 1968, $200,000

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Lower Hutt City Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) authorised to be raised by the Lower Hutt City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of reconstructing streets and ancillary works, the said Lower Hutt City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0.252 of a cent in the dollar on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) on all rateable property in the City of Lower Hutt; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on or about the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 25 years, or until such loan is fully paid off."

I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at the meeting of the Lower Hutt City Council held on 9 December 1968.

PICTON BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Picton Borough Council Pensioners Flats Loan 1968

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Picton Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $9,250 authorised to be raised by the Picton Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of constructing a block of pensioners flats at Picton, the said Picton Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.034c in the dollar on the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property appearing on the valuation roll of the Borough of Picton; and that such rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years or until the loan is fully paid off.

LYTTELTON BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Lyttelton Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on the loan of $12,600 to be raised under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing land and erecting accommodation for old people the said Lyttelton Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of point one two cents (0.12c) in the dollar upon the rateable value, on the basis of the annual value, of all rateable property situated in the Borough of Lyttelton; and that such rate shall be an annual-recurring rate and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 40 years or until the loan is fully paid off.

SOUTH CANTERBURY CATCHMENT BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Orari-Waihi-Temuka Redemption Loan No. 4, 1968-$23,000

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the South Canterbury Catchment Board hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on the said loan of $23,000, the South Canterbury Catchment Board hereby makes a rate of 0.039c in the dollar on lands classed A, 0.0273c on lands classed B, 0.0182c on lands classed C, 0.0091c on lands classed D, 0.0039c on lands classed E, and 0.0013c on lands classed F upon the rateable capital value of all rateable property in the Orari-Waihi-Temuka Rating District; and that such rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan, being a period of 15 years, or until such loan is fully paid off.

WAIKOUAITI COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Building Loan 1968, $16,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Waikouaiti County Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $16,000, authorised to be raised by the Waikouaiti County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for providing staff housing and erecting a workshop and store, the said Waikouaiti County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.011828c in the dollar upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the County of Waikouaiti, comprising the whole of the County of Waikouaiti; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 15th day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

INVERCARGILL CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Development and Expansion Loan 1967, $400,000β€”First Issue of $200,000

THAT, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $200,000 authorised to be raised by the Invercargill City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing new intake and water treatment facilities at Branxholme and meeting ancillary costs, the said Invercargill City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought four seven cents (0.047c) in the dollar on the rateable value on the basis of the unimproved value of all rateable property in the City of Invercargill; and that the said special rate shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of February in each year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Invercargill City Council held on Tuesday, 17 December 1968.

NOTICE OF MAKING A SPECIAL ORDER TO RAISE LOAN

PURSUANT to section 13 (2A) of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, notice is hereby given that the special order to raise a loan of $9,250, to be known as Picton Borough Council Pensioners Flats Loan 1968, for the purpose of constructing a block of pensioners flats has been duly made in terms of the relevant statute; and that 5 percent or more of the ratepayers have not demanded that a poll be taken on the proposal.
