RANGITIKEI COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR ROAD
NOTICE is hereby given that the Rangitikei County Council
proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act
1928, to execute a certain public work, namely, the construction
of a road; and, for the purposes of that public work,
the land described in the First Schedule hereto is required
to be taken.
And notice is hereby further given, pursuant to section 148
of the said Act, that the Council proposes to stop the portions
of road described in the Second Schedule hereto:
And notice is hereby further given that the plan showing
the land so required to be taken and the portions of road
to be stopped is deposited in the offices of Messrs Evans,
Easther, Harris, and Goodman, Solicitors, 335 Wellington
Road, Marton, and is there open for inspection, without fee,
during ordinary office hours:
All persons affected by the execution of the said public
work or by the taking of the said land or by the stopping
of the said portions of road should, if they have any objection
to the execution of the said public work or to the taking
of the said land or the stopping of the said portions of road,
not being objections to the amount or payment of compensation,
set forth the same, in writing, and send the written
objection, within 40 days of the first publication of this
notice, namely, before the 22nd day of January 1969, to
Messrs Evans, Easther, Harris, and Goodman at the above
address.
If any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a
public hearing of the objection will be held, unless the
objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised
of the time and place of the hearing.

BAY OF ISLANDS ELECTRIC POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Bay of Islands Electric Power Board Development Loan
No. 23 (1968), $340,000
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Electric Power Boards Act 1925, the Local
Authorities Loans Act 1956, and amendments and regulations
made thereunder respectively, and all other powers it
enabling, the Bay of Islands Electric Power Board resolves
as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing for the repayment
of the principal, interest, and other charges on the Board's
Development Loan No. 23 (1968), of $340,000, authorised
to be raised by the Bay of Islands Electric Power Board
under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of supplying
and distributing electrical energy for the benefit of the
Bay of Islands Electric Power District, and for such purpose
to do all or any of such matters and things which the
Board is empowered to do by the Electric Power Boards
Act 1925 and its amendments, and by all other powers and
authorities it enabling, the Bay of Islands Electric Power
Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0.23 of one
cent in the dollar ($) upon the rateable value (on the basis
of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the
Bay of Islands Electric Power District; such special rate
to be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the
said loan and be payable yearly on the 12th day of December
in each and every year, being a period of 25 years, or until
the loan is fully repaid."

WAITEMATA COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Redemption Loan No. 18, 1968
THAT, whereas the sum of $10,000, borrowed by the Waitemata
County Council under the Public Conveniences Loan
1957, $41,000, is due and payable on the 10th day of February
1969, and whereas the amount of $5,300 is required to pay
for the said loan, the Waitemata County Council, in exercise
of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local
Authorities Loans Act 1956, hereby resolves:
(a) To borrow the sum of $5,300 for the purpose of
repaying the said loan.
(b) That the sum of $5,300 shall be payable on the 10th
day of February 1979, or such earlier date as may
be determined by Council.
(c) That, for the purpose of providing interest, principal,
and other charges on the Redemption Loan No. 18,
1968, the said Council hereby makes and levies a
special rate of 0.0011c in the dollar on the rateable
unimproved value of all rateable property within
the County of Waitemata; and that such special rate
shall be an annually recurring rate through the
currency of the loan and payable yearly on the 1st
day of June each year during the currency of the
loan, being a period of 10 years or until the loan is
fully paid off.
(d) That authority be granted to gazette this resolution.

of an extract from the minutes passed by the Waitemata
County Council on 28 November 1968.
