✨ Roads Council Districts and British Standards
National Roads Act 1953—Constitution of Roads Council District
It is hereby notified that, pursuant to the National Roads Act 1953, the National Roads Board, on 11 December 1968, resolved:
-
As at the 31st day of March 1969 No. 2c, 3, 5, and 6 roads council districts, as described in the First Schedule hereto, shall cease to be roads council districts;
-
As from the 1st day of April 1969 the areas described in the Second Schedule hereto are constituted roads council districts, and shall be known as No. 2c, 3A, 3B, 5, and 6, respectively, as set out in the said Schedule.
FIRST SCHEDULE
No. 3, 5, and 6 roads council districts, as constituted by the Main Highways Board on the 1st day of April 1952, as notified in the Gazette, No. 39, of 5 June 1952, at p. 981.
No. 2c roads council district, as constituted by the National Roads Board on the 1st day of April 1957, as notified in the Gazette, No. 25, of 28 March 1957, at p. 556.
SECOND SCHEDULE
No. 2c roads council district—
All that area comprised within the counties of Coromandel, Hauraki Plains, Ohinemuri, Piako, and Thames, and the boroughs of Morrinsville, Paeroa, Te Aroha, Thames, and Waihi.
No. 3A roads council district—
All that area comprised within the counties of Matamata and Tauranga, and the boroughs of Matamata, Mount Maunganui, Putaruru, Tauranga, and Te Puke.
No. 3B roads council district—
All that area comprised within the counties of Rotorua, Taupo, and Whakatane, and the boroughs of Kawerau, Murupara, Rotorua, Taupo, and Whakatane.
No. 5 roads council district—
All that area comprised within the counties of Dannevirke, Hawke's Bay, Patangata, Waipawa, Waipukurau, Wairoa, and Woodville, and the boroughs of Dannevirke, Havelock North, Hastings, Napier, Waipawa, Waipukurau, Wairoa, and Woodville.
No. 6 roads council district—
All that area comprised within the county of Taumarunui, the Borough of Taumarunui, and the town districts (not forming part of a county) of Manunui and Ohura.

PURSUANT to the provisions of the Standards Act 1965, notice is hereby given that the British standards, revisions, and amendments listed in the Schedule hereto may be considered for adoption as New Zealand standard specifications or for endorsement as being suitable for use in New Zealand. All persons who may be affected by them and who desire to comment thereon may, on application, obtain copies on loan from the Standards Association of New Zealand, Private Bag, Wellington.
Requests should specify that copies are required for comment purposes.
The closing date for the receipt of comment is 7 February 1969.
