TE AWAMUTU BOROUGH COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Te Awamutu Borough Council proposes to execute a certain public work, to wit, the construction of waterworks for which purpose the land described in the Schedule hereto requires to be taken by the Council under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928.

A plan of the land required to be taken as aforesaid lies open to public inspection at the office of the Council in Roche Street, Te Awamutu.

Every person affected is hereby called upon to set forth in writing any objection he may wish to make to the execution of such work or to the taking of such land not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation and to send such written objection to the Te Awamutu Borough Council within 40 days from the first publication of this notice. A public hearing of the objection will be held unless the objector otherwise requires and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

PORIRUA CITY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR HOUSING PURPOSES

NOTICE is hereby given that the Porirua City Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928 and its amendments, to take the piece of land described in the Schedule hereto for housing purposes; and notice is hereby further given that the plan showing the land required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Porirua City Council, situated at the corner of Hagley Street and Cobham Court, Porirua, and is there open for inspection by all persons during ordinary office hours. Every person affected by the taking of the said land should set forth in writing any objection he may wish to make to the taking of the said land, not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation, and send the written objection, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the Town Clerk, Porirua City Council, Porirua. If any objection is made in accordance with this notice a public hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

ALL that piece of land containing 33.2 perches situated in Block I, Belmont Survey District, Ngatitoa Street, Porirua, Wellington R.D., being part Section 96, Takapuwahia Township, as the same is more particularly delineated coloured blue on Survey Plan No. 26822, deposited in the office of the Porirua City Council, Porirua.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Kelston West County Town Sewerage Supplementary Loan, 1967, $18,000

THIS is to certify that the following is a correct copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of Council held on 25 January 1968.

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $18,000 authorised to be raised by the Waitemata County Council under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 for the purpose of completing those works authorised by the Kelston West County Town Sewerage Loan 1961, $18,000, together with all costs incidental thereto, the Waitemata County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.06 of a cent in the dollar on the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property in the Kelston West County Town; and that the special rate be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and to be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off, and that authority be granted to gazette this resolution.”

Orewa Water Supply Supplementary Loan 1997, $21,000

THIS is to certify that the following is a correct copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of Council held on 25 January 1968.

“That for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $21,000 authorised to be raised by the Waitemata County Council under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 for the purpose of completing those works authorised by the Orewa Water Supply Loan 1964, $21,000, together with all costs incidental thereto, the Waitemata County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.0677 of a cent in the $ on the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property in the Orewa County Town; and that the special rate be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and to be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off, and that authority be granted to gazette this resolution.”

WAITEMATA COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Redemption Loan No. 9, 1967—$17,400

THIS is to certify that the following is a correct copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of Council held on the 25th day of January, 1968.

“That, whereas the sum of $20,000 borrowed by the Waitemata County Council under the Water Supply Development Loan No. 1, 1960—$760,000 is due and payable on the 1st day of March 1968, and whereas the amount repaid in respect of the said loan amounts to only $2,600 and the sum of $17,400 is required to pay for the said loan, the Waitemata County Council in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 hereby resolves:

(a) To borrow the sum of $17,400 for the purpose of repaying the said loan.

(b) That, the sum of $17,400 shall be payable on the 1st day of March 1992 or such earlier date as may be determined by Council.

(c) That, for the purpose of providing interest, principal, and other charges on the Redemption Loan No. 9, 1967—$17,400, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0.0022 of a cent in the dollar on the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property within the County of Waitemata; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate through the currency of the loan and payable yearly on the 1st day of June each year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 24 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

(d) That authority be granted to gazette this resolution.”
