Revoking the Foreshore Licence Held by Alert Towing Co. Ltd. for Shingle Bins and a Sunken Barge at Lagoon Bay, Takatu Peninsula

Pursuant to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine hereby gives notice that the licence signed on 13 October 1954*, assigned on 4 February 1958 and amended on 27 January 1965†, authorising Alert Towing Co. Ltd. to use and occupy part of the foreshore and bed of the sea at Lagoon Bay, Takatu Peninsula, as a site for shingle bins and a sunken barge, as shown on plans M.D. 9689 and M.D. 11951, is revoked.

Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1964

Pursuant to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1964*, the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 16 of the said regulations so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors shall not apply to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provisions shall apply:

A motor driver's licence issued under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1964* to the person described in column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorise him to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of his employment for the employer described in column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorise him, while he is under the age of 18 years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Railways hereby declares the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto to be set apart for railway purposes on and after the 19th day of February 1968.

Revocation of the Reservation Over Part of a Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby revokes the reservation over that part of the reserve for prison purposes described in the Schedule hereto.

Tokaanu Development Scheme Amending Notice 1968, No. 1

Whereas by virtue of the notice described in the First Schedule hereto the land described in the Second Schedule hereto is now subject to Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, and it is desired to vary the same.

Now therefore, pursuant to Section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby gives notice as follows:

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Tokaanu Development Scheme Amending Notice 1968, No. 1.

  2. The notice referred to in the First Schedule hereto is hereby amended by reducing the area of Ohuanga North 1B 2 (part) which is subject to Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, by the area described in the Second Schedule hereto.

  3. The land described in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby released from Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953.
