Declaring Land Acquired for a Government Work and Not Required for That Purpose to be Crown Land

Pursuant to section 35 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works hereby declares the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land, subject to the Land Act 1948, as from the 19th day of February 1968.

SCHEDULE
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT

ALL that piece of land containing 1 rood 5 perches situated in Block XIV, Leeston Survey District, Canterbury R.D., being part Reserve 5018; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 21864 (S.O. 10925) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured orange.

Declaring Leasehold Estates in Land Taken for Soil Conservation Purposes in Blocks IV and VIII, Gordon Survey District, and Blocks I and V, Rintoul Survey District, and Block XV, Waimea Survey District, and for a Soil Conservation Reserve in Blocks IV and VIII, Gordon Survey District, and Blocks III, and V, Rintoul Survey District, and Block XII, Waimea Survey District, Waimea County

Pursuant to section 32 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works hereby declares that, sufficient agreements to that effect having been entered into, the leasehold estate in the land described in the First Schedule hereto, held from Her Majesty the Queen by Ian Dennis Andrews, of Brightwater, farmer, under and by virtue of Crown renewable lease, Volume 39, folio 1, is hereby taken for soil conservation purposes; and that the leasehold estate in the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, held from Her Majesty the Queen by Donald Francis Andrews, of Brightwater, farm contractor, under and by virtue of Crown renewable lease, Volume 38, folio 159, is hereby taken for soil conservation purposes; and that the leasehold estate in the land described in the Third Schedule hereto, held from Her Majesty the Queen by Frank Gordon Olds, of Nelson, farmer, under and by virtue of Crown lease, Volume 40, folio 1, is hereby taken for a soil conservation reserve; and that the leasehold estate in the land described in the Fourth Schedule hereto, held from Her Majesty the Queen by Frank Gordon Olds, of Nelson, farmer, under and by virtue of Crown lease, Volume 40, folio 179, is hereby taken for a soil conservation reserve; and that the leasehold estate in the land described in the Fifth Schedule hereto, held from Her Majesty the Queen by Patrick Charles Fossit Holland, of Lee Valley, farmer, under and by virtue of Crown lease, Volume 35, folio 241, is hereby taken for a soil conservation reserve; and that the leasehold estate in the land described in the Sixth Schedule hereto, held from Her Majesty the Queen by Gordon Stanfield Max, of Brightwater, farmer, under and by virtue of Crown renewable lease, Volume 36, folio 239, is hereby taken for a soil conservation reserve; and that the leasehold estate in the land described in the Seventh Schedule hereto, held from Her Majesty the Queen by Robert Henry Heslop, of Richmond, farmer, under and by virtue of Crown lease in perpetuity, Volume 21, folio 270, is hereby taken for a soil conservation reserve; and that the leasehold estate in the land described in the Eighth Schedule hereto, held from Her Majesty the Queen by Dennis Meade, of Brightwater, farmer, under and by virtue of Crown lease, Volume 35, folio 237, is hereby taken for soil conservation purposes; and that the leasehold estate in the land described in the Ninth Schedule hereto, held from Her Majesty the Queen by Ernest Oliver Robert Thomson, of Wainuiomata, farmer, under and by virtue of Crown lease Volume 27, folio 214, is hereby taken for soil conservation purposes; and that the leasehold estate in the land described in the Tenth Schedule hereto, held from Her Majesty the Queen by Ernest Oliver Robert Thomson, of Wainuiomata, farmer, under and by virtue of Crown lease Volume 33, folio 50, is hereby taken for soil conservation purposes; and that the said leasehold estates in land shall vest in the Nelson Catchment Board from and after the 19th day of February 1968.
