The Traffic (Hutt County) Notice No. 4, 1968
PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.
NOTICE

1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Hutt County)
   Notice No. 4, 1968.
2. The area specified in the First Schedule hereto is hereby
   declared to be a closely populated locality for the purposes
   of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.
3. The road specified in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby
   declared to be a 40-miles-an-hour speed limit area for the
   purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*
4. The Warrant under section 36 of the Transport Act
   1949, dated the 24th day of May 1955t which relates to the
   settlements of Paraparaumu Beach, Raumati Beach, and
   Raumati South, in Hutt County, is hereby revoked.

FIRST SCHEDULE
SITUATED within Hutt County:
All that area of Paraparaumu Beach, Raumati Beach, and
Raumati South bounded by a line commencing at a point on
the north-eastern side of Kapiti Road 3 chains measured south-
easterly generally along the said roadside from Hurley Road;
then due north-east along a right line to the left bank of the
Waikanae River; thence westerly generally down the said
left bank of the Waikanae River to the sea coast; thence
southerly generally along the sea coast to the right bank of
the Whareroa Stream; thence up the said right bank of the
Whareroa Stream to a point due south of the intersection
of the northern side of Poplar Avenue with the eastern side
of Matai Road; thence due north along a right line to the
said intersection; thence northerly generally by a right line
to a point on the southern side of Raumati Road 8 chains
measured south-easterly generally along the said road from
Matai Road; thence across Raumati Road at right angles to
its south-western side to its north-eastern side; thence south-
easterly generally along the north-eastern side of Raumati Road
to and across Rata Road and Rimu Road to the south-eastern
side of Rimu Road; thence north-easterly generally along that
roadside to the northern end of Rimu Street; thence north-
westerly generally by a right line to a point on the south-
western side of Kapiti Road opposite the commencing point;
thence across Kapiti Road to the commencing point; the
boundary of the whole area being further indicated in green
and red on the plan TT. 4017, deposited in the Head Office
of the Transport Department in Wellington.

SECOND SCHEDULE
SITUATED within Hutt County, at Raumati:
Raumati Road (from a point 8 chains measured south-
easterly generally along the said road from Matai Road to a
point 3 chains measured south-easterly generally along
Raumati Road from Rimu Road).

Declaring Land Taken for the Purposes of the Glenbrook
Railway in the Franklin County
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of
Railways hereby declares that, a sufficient agreement to that
effect having been entered into, the land described in the
Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of the
Glenbrook Railway on and after the 3rd day of November
1968.

Cancellation of the Vesting in the Wairarapa South County
Council and Revocation of the Reservation Over Reserves

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister
of Lands hereby cancels the vesting in the Chairman,
Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of South Wairarapa
and revokes the reservation for a site for a roadman's cottage
over the land described in the Schedule hereto.

Reservation of Land and Declaration That Land be Part of
Mount Hercules Scenic Reserve

PURSUANT to the Land Act 1948, the Minister of Lands hereby

reserve for scenic purposes; and, further, pursuant to the
Reserves and Domains Act 1953, declares the said reserve to
form part of the Mount Hercules Scenic Reserve.
