Allocating Railway Land to the Purposes of a Road in
Block IX, Kairanga Survey District, Kairanga County

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 226 of the Public Works Act 1928, I, Sir
Arthur Espie Porritt, Baronet, the Governor-General of New
Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described
in the Schedule hereto (which was taken for railway purposes
and is not now required for that purpose) shall, upon the
publication hereof in the Gazette, become road; and that
such road shall be maintained by the National Roads Board
in like manner as other public highways are controlled and
maintained by the said Board.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT
ALL that piece of land containing 14.7 perches situated in the
Wellington R.D., being part railway land; as the same is
more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W.
22486 (S.O. 27061) deposited in the office of the Minister
of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured orange.

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 18 of the Forests Act 1949, I, Sir Arthur
Espie Porritt, Baronet, the Governor-General of New Zealand,
hereby set apart the Crown land described in the First and
Second Schedules hereto as permanent State forest land.
FIRST SCHEDULE
HAWKE’S BAY LAND DISTRICT—WELLINGTON CONSERVANCY
HAWKE’S BAY COUNTY AND WAIPAWA COUNTY
SECTIONS 10 and 11, Block III, Wakarara Survey District, and
Block 94, Wakarara Crown Grant District, situated in Blocks
II, VI, VII, X, and XI, Wakarara Survey District: area, 9,430
acres, more or less (S.O. Plan 5833). As shown on plan No.
N. 133/2 deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand
Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Land Set Apart as Provisional State Forest Declared to be
Crown Land Subject to the Land Act 1948

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to subsection (2) of section 19 of the Forests Act
1949, I, Sir Arthur Espie Porritt, Baronet, the Governor-
General of New Zealand, acting on the joint recommendation
of the Minister of Lands and of the Minister of Forests,
hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the
Schedule hereto, being part of provisional State forest reserve
set apart by Proclamation dated the 10th day of September
1945, and published in Gazette, 20 September 1945, Volume
III, p. 1161, is required for settlement purposes; and, in
accordance with the provisions of the said Act, such land
shall, from and after the day of the gazetting hereof, cease
to be provisional State forest land and shall become Crown
land, available for sale, lease, reservation, or other disposition
under the provisions of the Land Act 1948.

TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT—TAUMARUNUI COUNTY
SUBDIVISION 2 of Section 2, Block VII, Aria Survey District:
area 453 acres more or less. Plan S.O. 7000.

of the Executive Council, hereby (a) declares the piece of

road, and (b) stops the said road.
