RANGIORA BOROUGH COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

NOTICE is hereby given that the Rangiora Borough Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928 and its amendments, to take the easement to convey and transmit electric power and energy under and along the land described in the First Schedule hereto, with the ancillary rights set forth in the Second Schedule hereto. Every person affected should set forth in writing any objection he may wish to make to the execution of the said work or to the taking of the easement, not being an objection to the amount or the payment of compensation, and lodge the written objection at the offices of the Rangiora Borough Council, High Street, Rangiora (Postal Address: P.O. Box 102, Rangiora), where a plan of the said easement may be inspected, free of charge, between the hours of 9 a.m. to 4.30 p.m., Mondays to Fridays inclusive, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice. If any such notice of objection is received a public hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

FIRST SCHEDULE

ALL that piece of land situated in the Borough of Rangiora being part Rural Section 1080 and being also part of the land described in certificate of title, Volume 765, folio 62 (Canterbury Registry); as the same is shown, coloured yellow, on a plan deposited at the office of the Chief Surveyor at Christchurch as S.O. 11083, being a strip of land approximately 15.15 links in width lying between Kinley Street and the west portion of Seddon Street.

SECOND SCHEDULE

THE easement to convey and transmit electric power and energy under and along the land described in the First Schedule hereto shall include the right, liberty, and privilege for the Rangiora Borough Council from time to time and at all times hereafter to convey and transmit electric power and energy under and along the said land by means of underground cable or cables now or hereafter to be laid and any cable or cables laid in substitution therefore, together with the right to enter upon the said land with or without vehicles, plant, equipment, and implements, and to dig trenches and lay cables and construct thereon and thereunder such cable ducts and other structures as may be necessary or desirable for any purpose connected with the said easement and for the inspection, maintenance, installation, repair, and/or replacement of the said cable or cables and any associated equipment or fittings, so that the same may at all times be kept in good and efficient working order.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Certified copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Auckland City Council held on the 18th day of September 1968:

“That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and amendments, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and amendment and regulations thereunder, and of all other powers thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of thirty-two thousand dollars ($32,000) to be known as the Redemption Loan No. 43, 1968, $32,000, which amount is proposed to be raised by the Auckland City Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of repaying on maturity that portion of the Drainage Loan 1955, $223,000, which matures on 15 October 1968, the said Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal point nought one three five of a cent (.0135c) in the dollar ($) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property (of Auckland City) comprising the whole of the City of Auckland, and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the said loan or until the loan is fully paid off”.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

CERTIFIED copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Auckland City Council held on the 18th day of September 1968:

“That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and amendments, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and amendment and regulations thereunder, and of all other powers thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of one hundred and eighty-two thousand dollars ($182,000) to be known as the Redemption Loan No. 42, 1968, $182,000, which amount is proposed to be raised by the Auckland City Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of repaying on maturity those portions of the Administration Building Loan 1958, $150,000; Avondale Block 76) Housing and Reserve Loan 1954, $261,200; Avondale Drainage Loan 1957, $508,000; Tram Track Removal Loan 1956, $400,000; and Works Loan 1957, $1,400,000, which mature on 1 October 1968, the said Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal point nought five two nine of a cent (.0529c) in the dollar ($) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value, of all rateable property (of Auckland City) comprising the whole of the City of Auckland; and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the said loan or until the loan is fully paid off”.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

“That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and amendments, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and amendment and regulations thereunder, and of all other powers thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of one hundred and four thousand dollars ($104,000) to be known as the Parks Loan 1967, $104,000, which amount is proposed to be raised by the Auckland City Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of carrying out development works on various parks and reserves and the cost of raising the loan, the said Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal point nought two six five of a cent (.0265c) in the dollar ($) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property (of Auckland City) comprising the whole of the City of Auckland; and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the said loan or until the loan is fully paid off”.

WAITEMATA COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Bridge Replacement Loan 1968—$150,000

THAT, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $150,000 authorised to be raised by the Waitemata County Council under the above-mentioned Act for replacing and erecting bridges in the county, the said Waitemata County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.018c in the dollar on the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property in the County of Waitemata; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the above is a correct copy of a resolution of Council passed on 30 May 1968.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Stormwater Drainage Loan 1968—$140,000

THAT pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Papatoetoe City Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on the loan of $140,000 authorised to be raised by the Papatoetoe City Council under the above-named Act for the purpose of providing stormwater drainage, the said Papatoetoe City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought seven one four four cents (.07144c) in the dollar upon the rateable
