on the plan deposited for inspection.

AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

IN the matter of the Reserves and Domains Act 1953 and
the Public Works Act 1928, notice is hereby given that the
Auckland City Council proposes, under the provisions of the
above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work,
namely, the provision of a public reserve and children's
playground, subject to the provisions of the Reserves and
Domains Act 1953, in the City of Auckland; and, for the
purpose of such public work, the lands firstly and secondly
described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken.
And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands
so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of
the City Valuer's Department, Civic Administration Building,
Auckland, and is open for public inspection, without fee, by
all persons during ordinary office hours.

Every person affected who wishes to make any objection
to the execution of the said public work or to the taking
of the said lands (not being an objection to the amount
or payment of compensation) must state his objection in
writing and send the same, within 40 days from the first
publication of this notice, to the Town Clerk, Civic
Administration Building, Auckland.

If any objection is made a public hearing of the objection
will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and
each objector will be advised of the time and place of the
hearing.

ALL those pieces of land containing, firstly, 1 rood 17.8
perches, more or less, being Lot 1, D.P. 55277, being all the
land comprised and described in certificates of title, Volume
122, folio 93, and Volume 204, folio 227, and part of the
land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume
433, folio 40, North Auckland Registry, situated at No.
498–510 Richmond Road, Auckland, and, secondly, 17 perches,
more or less, being lot 7 of Section 54 on D.P. 1720, and
being portion of Allotment 46, Section 8, Suburbs of Auckland,
and being the whole of the land comprised and described in
certificate of title, Volume 191, folio 159, North Auckland
Registry, situated at No. 512 Richmond Road, Auckland.

THAMES BOROUGH COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

IN the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and
the Public Works Act 1928, notice is hereby given that the
Thames Borough Council proposes, under the provisions of
the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work,
namely, to widen, construct, and layout a road in the street
known as The Terrace in the Borough of Thames; and, for
the purposes of such public work, the lands described in the
Schedule hereto are required to be taken. And notice is
hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to
be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk
to the said Council, situate in Mary Street, Thames, and is
open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during
ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public
work or by the taking of such lands, who have any objections
to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of
the said lands, must state their objections, in writing, not
being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation,
and send the same within 40 days from the first publication
of this notice, to the Town Clerk at the Council Chambers,
Mary Street, Thames. If any such objection is made a public
hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objector
otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the
time and place of the hearing.

CHRISTCHURCH CITY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

Notice is hereby given that the Christchurch City Council
proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928
and its amendments, to take over the land described in the
First Schedule hereto, the easement and ancillary rights set
forth in the Second Schedule hereto, for the purposes of a
public work, namely, for an overhead line for the transmission
of electric power and energy.

Every person affected should set forth, in writing, any
objection he may wish to make to the execution of the said
work or to the taking of the said easement and ancillary
rights, not being an objection to the amount or the payment
of compensation, and to lodge the written objection at the
office of the Christchurch City Council, Manchester Street,
Christchurch, within forty (40) days from the 4th day of
October 1968, being the date of the first publication of this
notice; and if any such objection is made, a public hearing
of the objection will be held, unless the objector otherwise
requires, and each objector will be notified of the time and
place of any such hearing.

FIRST SCHEDULE

ALL those pieces of land situated partly in the City of
Christchurch and partly in Block II of the Sumner Survey
District, containing together one hundred and forty-five acres
and eleven decimal nine perches (145A. 11.9P.), or thereabouts, being Lot 3, Deposited Plan 6740, and Lot 45 and
part Lot 48, Deposited Plan 3416, being part Rural Sections
18430 and 24077, and being also all the land described in
certificate of title, Volume 459, folio 270, and the balance
of the land described in certificate of title, Register 3c, folio
349 (Canterbury Registry).

SECOND SCHEDULE

An easement in perpetuity to convey and transmit electric
power and energy over and across that part of the land
described in the First Schedule hereto lying within 30 links
either side of the centre line shown in red on the plan herein-
after referred to (such part of the said land being hereinafter called "the easement strip") and for that purpose to
construct, equip, maintain, renew, repair, operate, and patrol
transmission lines thereon for the transmission and distribution
of electric power and energy, which lines may consist
of and include any tower, pylon, gantry, pole, support, insulator,
casing, tube, maintenance telephone wire, line, cable,
or other conductor used or intended to be used for the transmission
and distribution of electric power and energy and the
support, maintenance, protection, or insulation of any such
transmission lines as may seem necessary or desirable; and,
for the aforesaid purposes, servants, workmen, and agents
of the Christchurch City Council may, from time to time and
at all times, enter by the most expedient route upon the
easement strip or any part thereof, with or without any suitable means of conveyance and with all such tools, machinery,
articles, and materials as may be necessary for the doing of
anything hereby authorised, and to make and construct all
such works as may be necessary and proper for such purposes,
and to remove such transmission lines or any part
thereof, and, from time to time, to deposit and store on the
easement strip tools, machinery, equipment, and materials
of any kind to be used in the construction or repairing of such
transmission lines, but only for so long a period as such work
is actually in progress, and to remove or carry away the
same or any part thereof during or upon completion of the
said work. The plan referred to above is available for inspection
by all persons, during usual office hours, at the offices
of the Christchurch City Council, Manchester Street, Christchurch.
