HASTINGS CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Repayment Loan 1968, $130,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Hastings City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges
on a loan of one hundred and thirty thousand dollars
($130,000) authorised to be raised by the Hastings City
Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of
repaying on maturity that portion of the Development Loan
1958, $954,000, which matures on 1 December 1968, the
Hastings City Council hereby makes a special rate of nought
decimal nought five seven of a cent (0.057c) in the dollar
($) upon the rateable value of all rateable property within
the City of Hastings; and that the special rate be an annual-
recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable
yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during
the currency of the loan, being a period of fifteen (15) years
or until the loan is fully paid off”.

PALMERSTON NORTH CITY COUNCIL
CONSOLIDATION OF SPECIAL RATES
NOTICE is hereby given that the following resolution was passed
by way of special order at a special meeting of the Council
of the City of Palmerston North held on 26 August 1968,
and was duly confirmed at an ordinary meeting of the said
Council held on the 23rd day of September 1968.
In exercise of the powers invested in it by section 108A of
the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, as enacted by section
10 of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act 1959, the
Palmerston North City Council, by way of special order,
resolves that instead of levying the special rates specified in
the Schedule hereto over the whole of the City of Palmerston
North, or over any defined portion or portions thereof, a
consolidated special rate, on a uniform basis for the whole
district, be made of one decimal one nine four eight one nine
cents (1.194819c) in the dollar ($) on the unimproved rate-
able value of all rateable property within the City; and the
said consolidated special rate is hereby made an annually
recurring rate for the purpose of paying the annual charges
plus 10 percent thereof payable in respect of the loans secured
by those special rates; and the same be levied, in whole or in
part, year by year, without further proceeding of the Council.

RESOLUTION TO MAKE SPECIAL RATE
Redemption Loan No. 30, 1968—$101,000
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it
in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Lower Hutt City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of one hundred and one thousand dollars
($101,000) authorised to be raised by the Lower Hutt City
Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of
repaying on maturity those portions of the Streets Recon-
struction Loan 1956, $132,000; Streets Reconstruction Loan
(No. 2) 1957, $78,000; and Streets Extension Loan (No. 2)
1956—$140,000 which mature on 1 December 1968 and 20
February 1969, the said Lower Hutt City Council hereby
makes and levies a special rate of 0.173 of a cent in the
dollar on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual
value) on all rateable property in the City of Lower Hutt;
and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate
during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on
or about the 1st day of August in each and every year during
the currency of such loan, being a period of 10 years, or until
such time as the loan is repaid.”
I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed
at the meeting of the Lower Hutt City Council held on 23
September 1968.

Sewerage Development Loan No. 3 1968—$143,000
“PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Blenheim Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of securing the interest and other
charges on a loan of one hundred and forty-three thousand
dollars ($143,000) authorised to be raised by the Blenheim
Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the
purpose of completing the outfall sewer and the establishment
of sewerage ponding lagoons, the said Blenheim Borough
Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of .16c in the
dollar ($) on the rateable unimproved value of all rateable
property within the Borough of Blenheim; and that the said
special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the
