RAGLAN COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND AND TO STOP ROAD

IN the matter of the Public Works Act 1928, public notice is hereby given that the Raglan County Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to execute a certain public work, namely, the construction of a road, and, for the purposes of that public work, the land described in the First Schedule hereto is required to be taken and the road described in the Second Schedule hereto is required to be stopped. And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken and of the portions of road required to be stopped is deposited at the offices of the Raglan County Council, Great South Road, Ngaruawahia, and is there open for inspection. All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land or by the stopping of the said road should, if they have any objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land or to the stopping of the said road, not being objections to the amount or payment of compensation, set forth the same in writing and send the written objection within 40 days of the first publication of this notice to the office of the Council. If any objection is made in accordance with this notice a public hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

MATAMATA BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Pensioner Flats Loan No. 2, 1968—$10,700

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Matamata Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $10,700 authorised to be raised by the Matamata Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for erecting accommodation for old people, the said Matamata Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.025c in the dollar upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the whole of the Borough of Matamata; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, being a term of 20 years or until the loan is fully paid off, but such special rate shall not be payable while the income from the letting of the accommodation is sufficient to finance the repayments of the loan.

MATAMATA COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Pensioners’ Flats (Tokoroa) Loan 1968—$22,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and of all other powers thereunto enabling it, the Matamata County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of twenty-two thousand dollars ($22,000) authorised to be raised by the Matamata County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing land and erecting pensioner housing, the said Matamata County Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought nought one four two six (.001426) cents in the dollar upon the rateable value (on a basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the County of Matamata; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of thirty (30) years or until the loan is fully paid off”.
I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Matamata County Council held on the 12th day of September 1968.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO STOP PORTIONS OF ROAD

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to execute a certain public work, namely, the construction of a road and, for the purposes of that public work, the portions of road described in the Schedule hereto are required to be stopped. And further notice is hereby given that a plan of the portion of road required to be stopped is deposited in the office of the Tauranga County Council, Barke’s Corner, Cameron Road, Tauranga, and is there open for inspection; that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or the stopping of the said portions of road, should, if they have any objections to the execution of the said public work or the stopping of the said portions of road, not being objections to the amount or payment of compensation, set forth the same in writing and send the written objection, within 40 days of the first publication of this notice, to the Tauranga County Council at Tauranga, and that, if any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the Council meeting at which the hearing will be held.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Housing Loan 1968, $30,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Whakatane County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $30,000 authorised to be raised by the Whakatane County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing staff housing, the said Whakatane County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.0272 of a cent in the dollar upon the unimproved value of all rateable property in the whole of the County of Whakatane; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off”.
