Consenting to Raising of Loans by Certain Local Authorities

Pursuant to section 3 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 (as amended by section 3 (1) of the Local Authorities Loans Amendment Act 1967), the undersigned Assistant Secretary to the Treasury, acting under powers delegated to the Secretary to the Treasury by the Minister of Finance, hereby consents to the borrowing by the local authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto of the whole or any part of the respective amounts specified in that Schedule.

Declaration of Result of Election of Potato Growers' Representative on the Potato Board

I, Neil John McHugh, Returning Officer for the Potato Board Election, do, pursuant to sections 5 and 6 of the Potato Growing Industry Act 1950 and as prescribed by the Potato Board Election Regulations 1951, hereby declare the result of the election of a member for the Central Ward on the Potato Board to be as follows:

George Edward Wright .................. 143

I therefore declare George Edward Wright to be elected.

Maori Land Development Notice

Whereas by virtue of the notice described in the First Schedule hereto the land described in the Second Schedule hereto is now subject to the provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953; and whereas by a subsequent order of the Maori Land Court the appellation and area of the land have been changed and the land is now known by the description set out in the Third Schedule hereto; and whereas it is therefore desired to amend the notice aforesaid by a further notice referring to the land under its current appellation:

Now, therefore, pursuant to section 330 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby gives notice as follows.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be described as the Maori Land Development Notice Rotorua 1968, No. 3.
  2. The notice referred to in the First Schedule hereto is hereby amended by omitting all reference to the land described in the Second Schedule hereto.
  3. The land described in the Third Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be subject to Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953.
