Delegation of Power to Grant Licences under Geothermal Energy Act 1953 to Rotorua City Council

Pursuant to section 9A of the Geothermal Energy Act 1953, the Minister of Works hereby delegates to the Rotorua City Council his power, under section 9 of the Geothermal Energy Act 1953, to grant licences to any person to sink bores or to tap, take, use, or apply geothermal energy for any purpose within the City of Rotorua.

Revoking the Foreshore Licence Issued to Henry James Radford for a Pipeline at Rainbow Point, Lake Taupo

Pursuant to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine hereby gives notice that the licence signed on 2 December 1963 authorising Henry James Radford to use and occupy part of the bed of Lake Taupo at Rainbow Point as a site for a pipeline, as shown on plan marked M.D. 11666, is revoked.

Licensing Peter Frederick Roderique to Occupy a Site for a Jetty, Walkway, and Shed in Jacobs River Estuary

Pursuant to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine hereby licenses and permits Peter Frederick Roderique (hereinafter called the licensee, which term shall include his administrators, executors, or assigns unless the context requires a different construction) to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and bed of Jacobs River Estuary, Riverton Harbour, as shown on plan marked M.D. 12781 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of maintaining thereon a jetty, walkway, and shed as shown on the said plan, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

CONDITIONS

(1) This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1960 and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.

(2) The term of the licence shall be 14 years from the 1st day of January 1968.

(3) The premium payable by the licensee shall be ten dollars ($10) and the annual sum so payable by the licensee shall be sixteen dollars ($16).

Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1964

Pursuant to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1964*, the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 16 of the said regulations so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors shall not apply to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provisions shall apply:

A motor driver's licence issued under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1964* to the person described in column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorise him to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of his employment for the employer described in column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorise him, while he is under the age of 18 years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

The Traffic (Matamata County) Notice 1968

Pursuant to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Matamata County) Notice 1968.
  2. The roads specified in the Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.
  3. So much of the Warrant under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 dated the 25th day of August 1965* as relates to Smith Road and Station Road in Matamata County is hereby revoked.
