RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Otara Community Centre Loan 1968-$483,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Manukau City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purposes of providing the annual charges
on a loan of $483,000 authorised to be raised by the Manukau
City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose
of providing a community centre and ancillary service at
Otara, within the City of Manukau, the said Manukau City
Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought three
two two cents (.0322c) in the dollar ($) upon the rateable
unimproved value of all rateable property of the City of
Manukau; and that the special rate shall be an annual-
recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable
yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during
the currency of the loan, being a period of thirty (30) years,
or until the loan is fully paid off".

Matson Court Pensioner Housing Loan 1968-$29,500
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Manukau City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purposes of providing the annual charges on
a loan of $29,500 authorised to be raised by the Manukau
City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose
of purchasing land and erecting accommodation for old people
within the City of Manukau, the said Manukau City
Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought nought
three one cents (.0031c) in the dollar ($) upon the rateable
unimproved value of all rateable property of the City of
Manukau; and that the special rate shall be an annual-
recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable
yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during
the currency of the loan, being a period of forty (40) years,
or until the loan is fully paid off".

WHAKATANE BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Library Renewal Loan 1968, $4,500
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Whakatane Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
-
The term for which the said loan or any part thereof
may be borrowed shall be 10 years. -
The rate of interest that may be paid in respect of the
said loan or any part thereof shall be such as shall not
produce to the lender or lenders a rate or rates exceeding
five and three-quarters per cent per annum. -
The said sum or any part thereof, together with interest
thereon, shall be repaid by equal aggregate annual or half-
yearly instalments extending over the term, as determined
in clause 1 hereof. -
The payments of all such instalments shall be made in
New Zealand, and no such instalment shall be paid out of
loan money. -
The rate payable for brokerage in respect of the raising
of the said loan or any part thereof shall not exceed one-half
percent of any amount raised.
The above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the
Whakatane Borough Council held on the 16th day of
September 1968.

WANGANUI CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Whanganui City Bridge Loan 1968, of $220,000
THAT in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it
in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Wanganui City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing interest and principal
payments on a special loan of $220,000 known as the Whanganui
City Bridge Loan 1968, authorised to be raised by the
Wanganui City Council under the above-mentioned Act for
the purpose of meeting part of the cost of erecting the
Whanganui City Bridge over the Wanganui River, the said
Wanganui City Council hereby makes and levies a special
rate of 0.0628 of a cent in the dollar upon the rateable value
on the basis of the unimproved value of all rateable property
in the City of Wanganui, comprising the whole of the City of
Wanganui, the boundaries whereof are defined in the New Zealand Gazette of the 25th day of January 1968,
No. 4, at p. 106; and that such special rate shall be an
annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and
be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every
year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 35
years from the date of the raising of the loan or until the
loan is fully paid off”.
I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed
at a special meeting of the Wanganui City Council held on
the 17th day of September 1968.

CHRISTCHURCH CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Town Hall Loan 1968-$1,800,000
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and its
amendments and all other powers it in that behalf enabling,
the Christchurch City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing principal, interest, and
other charges on a loan of one million eight hundred thousand
dollars ($1,800,000) authorised to be raised by the
Christchurch City Council under the above-mentioned Act
for the purposes of erecting and equipping a town hall on
land already owned by the Council, the said Christchurch
City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of
.0009525 (decimal nought nought nine five two five)
in the dollar on the rateable value (on the basis of the un-
improved value) of all rateable property comprised within
the City of Christchurch; and that such special rate shall
be an annually-recurring rate payable on demand during the
currency of the loan, being a period of thirty-five (35) years,
or until the loan is fully paid off”.
The Christchurch City Council, at a meeting held on the
16th day of September 1968, passed the above resolution.

ROXBURGH BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Supplementary Fire Brigade Loan No. 3 (1968), $800
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Roxburgh Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges
on a loan of $800 authorised to be raised by the Roxburgh
Borough Council pursuant to section 44 of the Local
Authorities Loans Act 1956 for the purpose of meeting the
balance of finance required for the purpose of purchasing
a new fire appliance, the said Council hereby makes a special
rate of 0.0831 cents in the dollar ($) upon the rateable value
(upon the basis of annual value) of all rateable property
in the Borough of Roxburgh, comprising the whole of the
Borough of Roxburgh; and that the special rate be an annual-
recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable
on the 1st day of March and the 1st day of September in
each and every year during the currency of the loan, being
a period of fifteen (15) years, or until the loan is fully paid
off”.
I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of a
resolution passed by the Roxburgh Borough Council at a
meeting held on 8 March 1968.
