SPECIAL ORDER RESOLUTION

Determining Number of Councillors

“THAT, in accordance with the provisions of section 9 (2) of the Kawerau Borough Act 1958, the Kawerau Borough Board of Commissioners hereby resolves that the number of councillors of the Borough of Kawerau to be elected at the 1968 municipal election be fixed at 10.”

I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of a special order resolution duly made by the Kawerau Borough Board of Commissioners.

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

Notice of Application for Consent to Conditional Use

NOTICE is hereby given that application has been made by Wainuiomata Golf Club Incorporated, of the County Town of Wainuiomata, for consent to the use of the property herein described as a golf course, including club house and all usual amenities.

The property is on both the eastern and western sides of the Coast Road in the said County Town of Wainuiomata, and is located in the rural zone.

The legal description of the land is as follows:

“All those pieces of land situate in the Land Registration District of Wellington, containing: first, 791 acres 1 rood 28 perches, more or less, being Sections 45, 46, 61, 62, and part of section 6 of the Wainuiomata District, and being the residue of the land comprised in certificates of title, Volume 485, folio 47, and Volume 485, folio 48 (Wellington Land Registry); and, secondly, 195 acres 3 roods 27.29 perches, being Section 7 and part Sections 6, 8, 9, and 62 of the Wainuiomata District, and being the residue of the land in certificates of title, Volume 352, folio 194, and Volume 352, folio 195 (Wellington Land Registry).”

The application may be examined at the office of the Hutt County Council in Bowen Street in the City of Wellington during normal office hours, and any person or body affected may object to the application by notice in writing delivered to the County Clerk, Hutt County Council, P.O. Box 8012, Wellington, not later than 4 p.m. on the 25th day of October 1968.

Every objector shall state the grounds of the objection and whether the objector wishes to be heard by the Council in support of his objection.

AUCKLAND REGIONAL AUTHORITY

SPECIAL ORDER

IN exercise of the powers vested in it by the Auckland Regional Authority Act 1963, section 43, and in pursuance of the authority conferred upon it under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and in exercise of all other powers enabling it on that behalf, the Auckland Regional Authority both hereby resolve, by special resolution intended to operate as a special order, to borrow the sum of $150,000 (one hundred and fifty thousand dollars) as a special loan to be known as the Drainage (Additional) Loan No. 51, 1968, $150,000, for the purposes of meeting the final costs of the Manukau scheme of main drainage.

The foregoing special order was passed at a special meeting of the Auckland Regional Authority, convened for that purpose and held on 19 August 1968, and confirmed at an ordinary meeting of the said Authority, held on 16 September 1968, having meantime been advertised in the Auckland Star on 31 August and 14 September 1968.

MINING ACT 1926

APPLICATION FOR WATER RACE

IN the matter of the Mining Act 1926, Philip Nathan Ramage, of Brinsdon Road, Gimmerburn, farmer, hereby gives notice that he has applied to the Wardens Court at Cromwell for a licence for a dry water race to carry two (2) heads of water from a point commencing on the bank of race constructed to bypass dam held under licence 9190, Cromwell, approximately 27 chains from the intake of the said race in Section 5, Block VII, Gimmerburn S.D., thence going in a south-easterly direction through Section 4, Block VII, Gimmerburn S.D., and crossing Brinsdon Road, and terminating in Section 3, Block VII, Gimmerburn S.D.

The application may be inspected at the office of the Registrar, Wardens Court, Cromwell.

The application is set down for hearing in the Wardens Court at Cromwell on Tuesday, 8 October 1968, at 10 a.m.

This notice is given by the applicant, whose address for service is at the offices of Messrs Baylee, Brunton, and Mitchell, Limerick Street, Alexandra.

HUTT COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CHANGE PURPOSE FOR WHICH LAND IS HELD

IN the matter of section 20 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1952, notice is hereby given that the Hutt County Council, being a local authority within the meaning of the Public Works Act, having acquired certain land at No. 1 Taupo Crescent, Plimmerton, approximately 100 yd from the intersection of Grays Road and Taupo Crescent, for the purpose of a sewerage treatment plant, and not now requiring the said land for such purpose, desires that the said land, being the land described in the Schedule hereto, shall henceforth be set apart for the purpose of a children’s play area.

And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be set apart is deposited in the public office of the County Clerk to the said County Council, situated in Bowen House, Bowen Street, Wellington, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the setting apart of the said land must set forth, in writing, any objection to the proposed change of purpose and send such written objection to the County Clerk, Hutt County Council, Bowen House, Bowen Street, Wellington, within 40 days from the date of the first publication of this notice. If any such objection is made, a public hearing of the objection will be heard, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

SCHEDULE

ALL that piece of land situated in the County of Hutt containing twenty-eight decimal five three perches (28.53 perches), more or less, situate in Block VIII of the Paekakariki Survey District, being part of Taupo No. 1, and being also Lot 39 on deposited plan No. 22782, and being also all the land comprised and described in certificate of title, No. A. 3/57 (Wellington Registry), and situated on the eastern side of Taupo Crescent, Plimmerton, approximately 400 yd from the corner of Grays Road.

AN ACT TO AMEND THE PROVISIONS OF THE AUCKLAND GAS COMPANY’S ACT 1871

NOTICE is hereby given that the Auckland Gas Co. Ltd. (hereinafter called “the company”) intends to apply for leave to bring into the House of Representatives, during the present session of Parliament, a Private Bill, the short title of which is the Auckland Gas Company Amendment Act 1968.

The objects of the proposed Bill are to extend the limits of the principal Act, now extending to and including the City of Auckland and such parts of the suburbs and vicinity thereof as lie within a radius of 12½ miles from a centre at
