COUNTY OF HOROWHENUA

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

IN the matter of the Counties Act 1956, the Town and Country Planning Act 1953, and the Public Works Act 1928, notice is hereby given that the Horowhenua County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts and all other Acts and powers thereunto enabling, to execute a certain public work, namely, sewerage treatment; and for the purpose of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken. A plan of the said lands to be taken is open for inspection at the offices of the Horowhenua County Council, Bath Street, Levin. All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said lands must state their objections, in writing, and send the same, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk at the Horowhenua County Council Offices, Bath Street, Levin. If any objection is made, a public hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of hearing.

SCHEDULE

THE land required to be taken comprises an area of 37 acres 1 rood 31 perches, being Lot No. 4 on the plan of subdivision prepared by Messrs Truebridge Associates, dated July 1968, together with the right of way from the aforesaid land to Te Ngarara Road, as shown on the said plan and therein coloured blue, the said land being situated in the south-western area of the parcel of land owned by Donald James Cottle, of Te Horo, farmer, which land comprises the total of 207 acres 2 roods 29 perches, more or less, and is situated in Block V of the Kaitawa Survey District, being part Sections 1A, 1B 2, and 1B 3, Kukutauki Block, and part Sections 36, 38, and 77A Ngarara West A., and being also Lot 2 on Deposited Plan 21514, and being land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 881, folio 35, Wellington Registry, the said land of Donald James Cottle being situated on the Te Ngarara Road, Waikanae, in the County of Horowhenua.

LOWER HUTT CITY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

IN the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and in the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, notice is hereby given that the Lower Hutt City Council, being a local authority within the meaning of the Public Works Act 1928, proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts and to every and other power it thereunto enabling, to execute a public work, i.e., the extension of Harbour View Road in the City of Lower Hutt and, for the purposes of the said public work, the pieces of land described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken.

And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land thirdly described in the Schedule hereto, and marked T.P. 463, is deposited at the offices of the Council, Administration Building, Laings Road, Lower Hutt, and is there open for inspection by all persons without fee, during ordinary office hours.

Every person who is affected by the execution of the said public work or the taking of the said pieces of land or any of them and who has any objection he may wish to make to the execution of such public work or the taking of the said pieces of land or any of them (not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation) shall send his written objection within the period of forty (40) days from the date of the first publication of this notice to the Town Clerk, Lower Hutt, at his office, Administration Building, Laings Road, Lower Hutt.

If any such objection is made a public hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

SCHEDULE

LANDS required to be taken for the purposes of a street, i.e., the extension of Harbour View Road:

First, all that piece of land situate at No. 14 Harbour View Road, Lower Hutt, containing 25.19 perches, more or less, being part of Section 75 of the Hutt District and being also Lot 9 on Deposited Plan No. 10424 and all the land contained and described in certificate of title Volume 461, folio 163 (Wellington Registry); and, secondly, all that piece of land situate at No. 14 Harbour View Road, Lower Hutt, containing 3 roods 13.52 perches, more or less, being part of Section 75 of the Hutt District, being also Lot 1 on Deposited Plan No. 17471, and all the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 634, folio 4 (Wellington Registry); and, thirdly, all that piece of land situate at No. 96 Harbour View Road, Lower Hutt, being part of Section 75 of the Hutt District, being also part of Lot 2 on Deposited Plan No. 10443, having an area of 16 perches, more or less, as the same is more particularly shown on the said Plan T.P. 463 and shown coloured orange, and being part of the land in certificate of title, Volume 640, folio 68 (Wellington Registry).

PAPAKURA BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Papakura Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $8,000 authorised to be raised by the Papakura Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying on maturity those portions of the Municipal Building Loan 1958 which matured on 15 March 1968, the said Papakura Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of point nought nought six cents in the dollar (.006c in the $) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Papakura, comprising the whole of the Borough of Papakura; and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years or until the loan is fully paid off”.

EAST COAST BAYS BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Roading Loan No. 5, 1968—$200,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and its amendments, and all other powers it in that behalf enabling the East Coast Bays Borough Council hereby resolves:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charge on a loan of two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) authorised to be raised by the East Coast Bays Borough Council under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 for the purpose of constructing and repairing roads, footpaths, kerbing and channelling, and associated works in the borough, the said East Coast Bays Borough Council hereby make a special rate of decimal one six seven cents (.167c) in the dollar ($) upon the rateable value, on the basis of the unimproved value, of all rateable property in the Borough of East Coast Bays; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly, on the 1st day of August 1969 and in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 15 years or until the loan is fully paid off”.

I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a meeting of the East Coast Bays Borough Council held on the 4th day of September 1968.

PALMERSTON NORTH CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Parking Land Purchase and Development Loan 1968—$100,000

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and its amendments, and all other powers in that behalf enabling it, the Palmerston North City Council doth hereby resolve as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) authorised to be raised by the Palmerston North City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing land to provide vehicle parking, the said Palmerston North City Council hereby makes a special rate of two thousand two hundred and forty-eight one-hundred-thousandths of a cent (.02248c) in the dollar ($) upon the rateable value (upon the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the City of Palmerston North; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty (20) years or until the loan is fully paid off”.

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of the resolution passed by the Palmerston North City Council on the 16th day of September 1968.
