RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Paekakariki Water Supply Redemption Loan 1968, $10,800

I certify that the Hutt County Council passed the following resolution at its meeting on 15 August 1968:

“Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Hutt County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $10,800 authorised to be raised by the Hutt County Council under the above-mentioned Act for repaying part of the $12,400 portion of the Paekakariki Water Supply Loan 1960, $60,000, which matures on 1 October 1968, the Hutt County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal nought six three cents in the dollar upon the unimproved value of all rateable property in the Paekakariki Riding of the County of Hutt; and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable on 1 April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 24 years, or until the loan is fully paid off”.

Maoribank - Te Marua Water Supply Redemption Loan No. 2, 1968, $2,900

I certify that the Hutt County Council passed the following resolution at its meeting on 15 August 1968:

“Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Hutt County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $2,900 authorised to be raised by the Hutt County Council under the above-mentioned Act for repaying part of the $3,400 portion of the Maoribank - Te Marua Water Supply Loan 1960, $151,000 (issue of $65,000), the Hutt County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal nought nought six two cents in the dollar upon the unimproved value of all rateable property in the No. 61 special rating area of the Rimutaka Riding of the County of Hutt; and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable on 1 April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 24 years, or until the loan is fully paid off”.

Wellington City Renewal Loan No. 4, 1968, $250,000

The following resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Wellington City Council held on the 2nd day of September 1968:

“Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Wellington City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of two hundred and fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) to be known as the Wellington City Renewal Loan No. 4, 1968 of $250,000, authorised to be raised by the Wellington City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying on maturity those portions of the Sewerage Loan 1958—$600,000, Street Works Loan 1955—$1,100,000, Aerodrome Development Loan No. 5, 1958—$150,000, Johnsonville Water Supply Loan 1954—$210,000, and Sewerage Loan 1954—$700,000 which mature on 1 October and 1 November 1968, the Wellington City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought two nought cents (.020c) in the dollar on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the whole of the City of Wellington; and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of fifteen (15) years or until the loan is fully paid off”.

Wellington City Housing (Staff Housing) Loan 1968, of $335,000

The following resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Wellington City Council held on the 2nd day of September 1968:

“Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Wellington City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of three hundred and thirty-five thousand dollars ($335,000) to be known as the Wellington City Housing (Staff Housing) Loan 1968, of $335,000, authorised to be raised by the Wellington City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing staff housing, the Wellington City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought one eight of a cent (.018c) in the dollar on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the whole of the City of Wellington; and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of thirty (30) years or until the loan is fully paid off”.

Burnside Memorial Highway Loan No. 2, 1957, Renewal

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Riccarton Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $2,517 authorised to be raised by the Riccarton Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for redeeming the balance of a loan maturing in October 1968 in connection with the Burnside Memorial Highway, the Riccarton Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought nought four three cents (.0043c) in the dollar on the rateable value on the basis of the unimproved value of all rateable property in the Borough of Riccarton; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and shall be payable annually on the 12th day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years or until the loan is fully paid off.

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Dunedin City Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $202,000 authorised to be raised by the Dunedin City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying on maturity that portion of the Electricity Loan 1958, of $1,000,000, which matures on 13 October 1968, the said Dunedin City Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.0477c in the dollar ($) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the City of Dunedin, comprising the whole of the City of Dunedin; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of ten (10) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
