INVERCARGILL CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Development and Expansion Loan 1966, $600,000—Fourth Issue, $130,000

THAT, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $130,000 authorised to be raised by the Invercargill City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of developing and expanding the waterworks, drainage, and street systems of the city, including sewage-treatment plant and houses for attendants, the said Invercargill City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought three nought cents (.030c) in the dollar on the rateable value on the basis of the unimproved value of all rateable property in the City of Invercargill; and that the said special rate shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of October in each year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Invercargill City Council held on Tuesday, 27 August 1968.

THAT, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $170,000 authorised to be raised by the Invercargill City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of developing and expanding the waterworks, drainage, and street systems of the city, including sewage-treatment plant and houses for attendants, the said Invercargill City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought three nine cents (.039c) in the dollar on the rateable value on the basis of the unimproved value of all rateable property in the City of Invercargill; and that the said special rate shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of October in each year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Invercargill City Council held on Tuesday, 27 August 1968.

BOROUGH OF RAETIHI

PURSUANT to section 53 of the Municipal Corporations Act, the Raetihi Borough Council hereby publishes the following special order which was made by the said Council on the 20th day of August 1968.

SPECIAL ORDER

THAT the number of councillors for the Raetihi Borough Council be reduced from nine (9) councillors to eight (8) councillors for, as from the coming local body elections to be held on Saturday, the 12th day of October 1968.

AUCKLAND REGIONAL AUTHORITY

SPECIAL ORDER

IN exercise of the powers vested in it by the Auckland Regional Authority Act 1963, section 37, and in pursuance of the authority conferred upon it under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and in exercise of all other powers, the Auckland Regional Authority doth hereby resolve, by special resolution intended to operate as a special order, to borrow the sum of $27,000 as a special loan, to be known as Reserves Loan No. 3, 1968, $27,000, for the purposes of and incidental to the development of regional reserves.

The foregoing special order was passed at a special meeting of the Auckland Regional Authority, convened for that purpose and held on 15 July 1968, and confirmed at an ordinary meeting of the said Authority held on 19 August 1968, having meantime been advertised in the Auckland Star on 25 July and 8 August 1968.

The Common Seal of the Auckland Regional Authority was hereto affixed in the presence of the Chairman and Secretary:

BAY OF ISLANDS COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CLOSE ROAD

IN the matter of the Public Works Act 1928, and in the matter of a proposal to close a piece of road in the County of Bay of Islands, public notice is hereby given that the Bay of Islands County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Act, to close the piece of road described in the Schedule hereto; and notice is hereby given that a plan of the said pieces of road so proposed to be closed is deposited in the public office of the clerk of the said county, situated on Main Road, Kawakawa, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours from 5 September to 17 October 1968.

All persons objecting to the above proposal must lodge their objections in writing at the office of the Council on or before 17 October 1968.

NOTICE OF PRIVATE BILL

THE OTAGO FOUNDATION TRUST BOARD AMENDMENT ACT 1968

NOTICE is hereby given that the Otago Presbyterian Church Board of Property proposes to apply for leave to bring into the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled during its present session a Private Bill, the objects of which are to change the Board’s name to the Otago Foundation Trust Board, to empower the Board to sell further lands, and to vary the powers of the Board to lease any of the lands or buildings vested in it or any parts thereof, to extend the powers of the Board to invest in the purchase of freehold lands and buildings and improvements on freehold land by removing the present restriction that such land must be in the Provincial District of Otago.

The promoter of this Private Bill is the Otago Presbyterian Church Board of Property.
