CITY OF PORIRUA
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Transport Centre Supplementary Loan 1968—$4,200
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Porirua City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of $4,200 authorised to be raised by the Porirua City
Council under the above-mentioned Act for Transport Centre
Supplementary Loan 1968, the Porirua City Council hereby
makes a special rate of 0.00025c in the dollar upon the
unimproved value of all rateable property in the whole of
the City of Porirua; and that the special rate shall be an
annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and
be payable yearly on the 14th day of August in each and
every year during the currency of the loan, being a period
of 35 years, or until the loan is fully paid off”.
I certify that the foregoing resolution was duly passed at a
meeting of the Porirua City Council held on 21 August 1968.

HUTT VALLEY ELECTRIC POWER AND GAS BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Loan No. 41, Reticulation 1968—$800,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Hutt Valley Electric Power and Gas Board hereby resolves
as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges of
a loan of eight hundred thousand dollars ($800,000)
authorised to be raised by the Hutt Valley Electric Power
and Gas Board under the above-mentioned Act for the
purpose of further reticulating the Board’s electric power
and gas district and for such purpose to do all or any of
such matters and things which the Board is empowered to do
by the Electric Power Boards Act 1925 and its amendments
and by all other powers and authorities it thereunto enabling,
the Hutt Valley Electric Power and Gas Board hereby makes
a special rate of 0.0763c in the dollar ($) upon the rateable
value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable
property in the Hutt Valley Electric Power and Gas district,
comprising the Cities of Lower Hutt, Porirua, and Upper
Hutt; part of the City of Wellington; the Boroughs of East-
bourne, Petone, and Tawa; and part of the Hutt County; and
that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during
the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 31st
day of March in each and every year during the currency of
the loan, being a period of ten (10) years or until the loan
is fully paid off”.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Blenheim Office Alterations and Additions Loan 1968—$18,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the
Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and the Soil Conservation
and Rivers Control Act 1941 and all other powers in that
behalf enabling, the Marlborough Catchment Board hereby
resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing security for the pay-
ment of principal and interest on a loan of eighteen thousand
dollars ($18,000) authorised to be raised by the Marlborough
Catchment Board under the above-mentioned Act for the
purpose of making alterations and additions to the offices and
boardroom at Blenheim, the said Board hereby makes a special
rate of decimal point nought nought one nine (.0019) in
the dollar upon the rateable capital value of all rateable pro-
perty in the Marlborough Catchment District; and that such
special rate shall be an annually recurring rate, payable on
demand during the currency of such loan, or until the loan
is fully paid off”.
I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed
at the meeting of the Marlborough Catchment Board held
on the 9th day of July 1968.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Wairau Valley Scheme Works Supplementary Loan 1968,
$30,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the
Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and the Soil Conservation
and Rivers Control Act 1941 and all other powers in that
behalf enabling, the Marlborough Catchment Board hereby
resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing security for the payment
of principal and interest on a loan of thirty-thousand dollars
($30,000) authorised to be raised by the Marlborough Catch-
ment Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose
of completing the works for which the Wairau Valley Scheme
Works Loan 1960, $300,000, was sanctioned, the said Board
hereby makes a special rate, as set out in the Schedule
hereto, on the rateable capital value of all rateable property
liable to be rated for such in that part of the Marlborough
Catchment District defined in the classification list for the
Wairau Valley Scheme Rating District, deposited at the offices
of the said Board, the said rate being on a graduated scale
according to the classification made by the said Board in the
said part of the catchment district; and that such special rate
shall be an annually recurring rate, payable on demand during
the currency of such loan, or until the loan is fully paid off”.

Class B lands—0.0048c in the dollar on capital value.
Class C lands—0.0043c in the dollar on capital value.

Renewal Loan (No. 2) 1968—$109,250
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and its
amendments, and all other powers it in that behalf enabling,
the Christchurch City Council hereby resolves:
“That, for the purpose of providing principal and other
charges on a loan of one hundred and nine thousand two
hundred and fifty dollars ($109,250) to be raised by the
Christchurch City Council under the Local Authorities
Loans Act 1956 and its amendments for the purpose of
repaying on maturity those portions of the Streets Improve-
ment Loan 1957, $480,000, and Electricity Extension Loan
1958, $400,000, which mature on 1 October 1968, the said
Christchurch City Council hereby makes and levies a special
rate of $0.0001155 in the dollar on the rateable value (on
the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property
comprised within the City of Christchurch; and that such
special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate, payable on
demand during the currency of the said loan”.
The Christchurch City Council, at a meeting held on the
19th day of August 1968, passed the above resolution.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and
its amendments, and all other powers it in that behalf
enabling, the Christchurch City Council hereby resolves:
“That, for the purpose of providing principal and other
charges on a loan of forty-six thousand two hundred and
forty-seven dollars ($46,247) to be raised by the Christchurch
City Council under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956
and its amendments for the purpose of repaying on maturity
that portion of the Burnside Road Memorial Highway Loan
(No. 2) 1957 which matures on 1 October 1968, the said
Christchurch City Council makes and levies a special rate
of $0.0000489 in the dollar on the rateable value (on the basis
of the unimproved value) of all rateable property comprised
within the City of Christchurch; and that such special rate
shall be an annual-recurring rate, payable on demand during the
currency of the said loan”.
The Christchurch City Council, at a meeting held on the
19th day of August 1968, passed the above resolution.
