RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Pensioner Housing Loan 1968—$45,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and of all other powers thereunto enabling it, the Birkenhead Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of $45,000 to be known as the Pensioner Housing Loan 1968, which amount is proposed to be raised by the Birkenhead Borough Council under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 for the purpose of purchasing land and erecting accommodation for old people, the said Birkenhead Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of .035c (decimal nought three five cents) in the dollar upon the rateable value based on the unimproved value of all rateable property in the Borough of Birkenhead; and the said special rate shall be an annually recurring rate each and every year during the currency of the said loan, until the loan is fully paid off".

I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Birkenhead Borough Council held on the 14th day of August 1968.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Purchase of Properties Loan 1968 of $32,000

NOTICE is hereby given that the following resolution was passed at a meeting of the Pukekohe Borough Council held on the 21st day of August 1968:

"Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Pukekohe Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $32,000 authorised to be raised by the Pukekohe Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing property, the said Pukekohe Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of nought decimal nought three five (0.035) cents in the dollar ($) upon the rateable value on the basis of the unimproved value of all rateable property in the Borough of Pukekohe; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of September and the 1st day of March in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of thirty (30) years, or until the loan is fully paid off".

WAIHI BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Roading Development Loan 1968—$36,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Waihi Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $36,000 authorised to be raised by the Waihi Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of roading works, the said Waihi Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal four nine cents (.49c) in the dollar of unimproved value of all rateable property in the Borough of Waihi; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years or until the loan is fully repaid".

"That pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Tauranga City Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $15,700 authorised to be raised by the Tauranga City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting bridges, culverts, and protecting roading to the proposed Mangapapa power project, the said Tauranga City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal point nought one one nine cents (.0119c) in the dollar upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Tauranga City Council electrical supply special rating area; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of 30 years or until the loan is fully paid off".

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $10,000 authorised to be raised by the Tauranga City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of preparing plans and specifications in connection with the building of two hydro-electric stations on the Wairoa River, the said Tauranga City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal point nought seven six cents (.0076c) in the dollar upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Tauranga City Council electrical supply special rating area; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of 30 years or until the loan is fully paid off".

Grandstand Loan 1968—$22,000

"THAT, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Whakatane Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of twenty-two thousand dollars ($22,000) authorised to be raised by the Whakatane Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of meeting part of the cost of erecting a grandstand, dressing rooms, and toilet facilities at Rugby Park, the Whakatane Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal nought two two cents (.022c) in the dollar upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the Borough of Whakatane; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable on the 14th day of August in each and every year during the period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off".

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Gisborne City Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $24,000 authorised to be raised by the Gisborne City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying on maturity that portion of the Street Improvement Loan 1952 of $240,000, which matures on 17 August 1968, the said Gisborne City Council hereby makes a special rate of fifteen one-thousandths of a cent (0.015c) in the dollar upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the whole of the City of Gisborne, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years or until the loan is fully paid off".
