RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Main Roads Works Loan No. 1, 1968, $60,000

THE following resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Waimairi County Council held on 15 August 1968:

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Waimairi County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $60,000 authorised to be raised by the Waimairi County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of reconstructing part of Highsted Road, from Bainton Street to Sawyers Arms Road, and part of Sawyers Arms Road, from Morrison Avenue to Highsted Road, the Waimairi County Council makes a special rate of 0.00605c (cents) in the $ (dollar) upon the rateable value on the basis of capital value of all rateable property in the County of Waimairi; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring charge during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years or until the loan is fully paid off”.

GOLDEN BAY ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Reticulation Loan 1968—$50,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Golden Bay Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $50,000 authorised to be raised by the Golden Bay Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of reticulation extensions and alterations, the said Golden Bay Electric Power Board hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought five five (0.055) cents in the dollar upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Golden Bay Electric Power Board District; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 15 years, or until the loan is fully paid off”.

I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Golden Bay Electric Power Board held on the 11th day of July 1968.

NELSON CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
———

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Nelson City Council hereby resolves that, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of $1,000,000 to be known as the “Sewerage Loan 1968” authorised to be raised by the Nelson City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing a new sewer outfall and sewerage system for the Wakapuaka area and improving the existing sewerage system, the Nelson City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0.45795c in the dollar upon the rateable value on the basis of the unimproved value of all the rateable property in the City of Nelson, comprising the whole of the said city, and such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, payable yearly on the 15th day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until such loan is paid off.

I hereby certify that the following resolution was passed by the Nelson City Council at a meeting held in the City Council Chambers, Trafalgar Street, Nelson, on the 15th day of August 1968.

INGLEWOOD COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
———

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Inglewood County Council hereby resolved as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $50,000 authorised to be raised by the Inglewood County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of making advances to farmers in terms of the Rural Housing Act 1939, the said Inglewood County Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal one zero six seven cents (0.1067c) in the dollar upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the whole of the County of Inglewood; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half-yearly on the 30th day of June and the 31st day of December in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is fully paid off”.

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Inglewood County Council held on the 13th day of August 1968.

CARTERTON BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Pensioner Housing Loan 1968, $17,450

THAT, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Carterton Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $17,450 authorised to be raised by the Carterton Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the erection of pensioner housing, the said Carterton Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought nought nought five three four two two of one dollar (.00053422 of $1) upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Carterton, and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of December and the 1st day of June of each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 40 years or until the loan is fully paid off.

It is not proposed to collect the special rate as the loan charges will be met out of rental of the cottages.

I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Carterton Borough Council on 15 August 1968.

Water Supply Redemption Loan 1968, $36,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Waimairi County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $36,000 authorised to be raised by the Waimairi County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying on maturity $9,000 of the Water Supply Supplementary Loan No. 2, 1958, of $12,000; $9,000 of the Water Supply Supplementary Loan No. 3, 1958, of $11,400; and $18,000 of the Water Supply Supplementary Loan 1958, of $29,000, all of which matures on 15 September 1968, the said Waimairi County Council hereby makes:

(a) A special rate of 0.002054c (c) in the dollar ($) upon the rateable value (on the basis of capital value) of all rateable properties within the special rating area which comprises the whole of the Middleton Riding of the county; and from the Middleton Riding boundary on Yaldhurst Road, along Yaldhurst Road to Russley Road; thence north along Russley Road to Memorial Avenue; east along Memorial Avenue to Roydvale Avenue; thence north along Roydvale Avenue, Wooldridge Road, to Harewood Road; thence east along Harewood Road to Crofton Road, north along Crofton Road to Sawyers Arms Road; thence in an easterly direction along Sawyers Arms Road to Highsted Road; along Highsted Road in a northerly direction to Claridges Road, east along Claridges Road to Grampian Road; thence in a north-easterly direction along Grampian Road to Cavendish Road, north along Cavendish Road to Styx Mill Road; thence east along Styx Mill Road to its junction with the Main North Road; from this point continuing in an easterly direction to Farquhars Road; thence along Farquhars Road to Grimseys Road; thence south along Grimseys Road to Winters Road, along Winters Road in a westerly direction to the city boundary; thence following around the city boundary generally in a westerly direction to Ilam Road; thence in a westerly direction along Ilam Road to the Middleton Riding boundary on Ilam Road; and
