The Milk Districts Order 1968

At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 19th day of August 1968

Present:

THE RIGHT HON. KEITH HOLYOAKE, C.H., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Milk Act 1967, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. Title and commencement—(1) This order may be cited as the Milk Districts Order 1968.

(2) This order shall come into force on the 1st day of September 1968.

  1. Constitution of milk districts—(1) The part or parts of New Zealand described in the Schedule hereto are from the 1st day of September 1968 constituted and declared as milk districts under the Milk Act 1967, with such names as are specified in the Schedule hereto.

(2) All milk marketing districts constituted and continuing to exist as if constituted as milk districts at the date of commencement of this order are hereby abolished.

SCHEDULE

NAMES AND DESCRIPTIONS OF MILK DISTRICTS

Kaitaia Milk District

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District comprising the Borough of Kaitaia, the Counties of Mangonui and Whangaroa, and part of the County of Hokianga, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the mean high-water mark of the sea in the middle of the mouth of the Takou River in Block III, Kerikeri S.D., and proceeding up the middle of that river to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 41103; then generally south-westerly to and along that boundary, the south-eastern boundary of Lot 4, D.P. 41103, the end of Otaha Road, the south-eastern and south-western boundaries of Lots 5, D.P. 41103, a right line across Otaha Road and the south-western boundary of Lot 4, D.P. 41103, to the north-eastern corner of Section 4, Block II, Kerikeri S.D.; then along the eastern and southern boundaries of that section, the south-eastern boundaries of Old Land Claim 19, crossing and recrossing No. 10 State Highway to the eastern boundary of Section 3, Block VIII, Kaeo S.D.; then along the eastern and southern boundaries of that section, the southern boundaries of Section 4, Block VIII, aforesaid, and Old Land Claim 25, the eastern and southern boundaries of Section 32, Block XII, Kaeo S.D. and the generally southern boundaries of Section 30, Block XII, aforesaid, to a point in line with the western side of a public road forming the western boundary of an area of Crown land in Block XII, aforesaid; then southerly to and along that roadside to the western boundary of Section 16, Block XVI, Kaeo S.D.; then along that boundary, the south-western boundary of Section 45, Block XII, Kaeo S.D., the south-eastern boundary of Section 18, Block XV, Kaeo S.D., to a point in line with the southern boundary of Manginangina or Motukauri Block; then to and along that boundary to Trig. Station 1, Manginangina, and along a right line to the north-eastern corner of Section 4s, Puketi Settlement; then along the north-western boundaries of that section and Section 1s, Puketi Settlement, the north-western boundaries of Sections 8 and 9, Block XIV, Kaeo S.D., and the south-western boundary of Section 3, Block XIV, Kaeo S.D., to the middle of a branch of the Pukatea Stream; then down the middle of that branch, Pukatea Stream, Waipapa River, and up the middle of the Mangapa Stream and the Whakaterekia Stream to its most western intersection with the northern boundary of Block XVI, Maungataniwha S.D.; then westerly along that boundary and along the north-eastern boundaries of Omahuta State Forest Timber Sections No. 16, 6, and 2, to Trig. Station Ratakamaru; then generally south-westerly along the boundaries of the Omahuta and Mangamuka East Blocks and their production to the middle of the Mangamuka River; then down the middle of that river and along the northern shore of the Hokianga Harbour to the mean high-water mark of the Tasman Sea; then generally northerly along that boundary and generally easterly and southerly along the mean high-water mark of the Pacific Ocean to the point of commencement.

Bay of Islands Milk District

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District comprising the Borough of Kaikohe, the Independent Town District of Kawakawa, the County of the Bay of Islands, and part of the Counties of Hokianga and Whangarei, as bounded by a line commencing at the middle of the mouth of the Takou River in Block III, Kerikeri S.D., and proceeding along the mean high-water mark of the sea to the northern boundary of Whangaroa-Ngaiotonga 4F2 in Block VIII, Russell S.D.; then generally south-westerly along that boundary and the north-western boundaries of Whangaroa-Ngaiotonga 4F2, 4G4 and 4G3, crossing the intervening Whangaruru North Road and the Mahia Roadway, to and north-westerly along the northern boundary of Tutaematai B2B2, crossing the intervening Ngaiotonga-Rawhiti Road, along the northern and western boundaries of part Tutaematai B2 No. 4, as shown on S.O. plan 29247, and along the eastern and northern sides of the Whakapara-Russell Road to a point due north of the north-western corner of that part Tutaematai B2 No. 3 shown on S.O. plan 29247; then along a right line to that north-western corner and along the western boundary of the said part B2 No. 3, along the western and south-western boundaries of part Tutaematai A, as shown on D.P. 27504, and continuing along the north-eastern, eastern, and south-eastern boundaries of Waikare 17, the south-eastern boundaries of Section 2, Block XVI, Russell S.D., and Section 5, Block XV, Russell S.D., the eastern boundary of Taumatahinau Block, the northern and eastern boundaries of that part Puhipuhi 3 declared State Forest (New Zealand Gazette, 1962, p. 724), and westerly along the southern boundary of the said part Puhipuhi 3 and its production to the western side of Parsons Road; then along the eastern, northern, and western boundaries of Section 22, Block III, Hukerenui S.D., the abutment of a public road and the western boundary of Section 23, to a public road; then along a right line bearing 148° 38′ distance 100.4 links to the road angle forming the north-western corner of Section 12; then generally south-westerly along the north-western boundaries of Section 12, the generally western boundaries of Section 13, all sections being of Block III, aforesaid, the north-western boundaries of Section 5, Block VII, Hukerenui S.D., and the eastern and southern boundaries of Section 2, Block VII, Hukerenui S.D., the western boundaries of Sections 3 and 25, Block VII, aforesaid, the eastern boundary of Lot 3, D.P. 43284, and the southern boundary of that lot and the generally eastern side of Tapuhi Road to a point in line with the south-western side of the public road, formerly the north-western boundary of Section 74, Block VI, Hukerenui S.D.; then to and along that south-eastern side and its production to the middle of the Waiotu River; then down the middle of that river and up the middle of the Waipuakakahau Stream to the eastern side of Tapuhi Road; then southerly along that roadside and the eastern boundary of Section 16, Block X, Hukerenui S.D., to the northern side of No. 1 State Highway; then generally westerly along that roadside, the western boundary of Section 19, the northern boundaries of Sections 38 and 49, to and along a right line across a public road and the northern boundary of Section 61, to its westernmost corner; then southerly along the western boundary of that section, a right line across a public road, to and along the western boundaries of Sections 48 and 50, the northern and western boundaries of Section 51, all sections being of Block X, aforesaid, and the production of the last boundary to the southern side of Paiaka Road; then generally south-westerly along that roadside, the northern, eastern, and southern boundaries of Section 31, the eastern and southern boundaries of Section 30, the southern and western boundaries of Section 29, the northern boundary of Section 23, all sections being of Block IX, Hukerenui S.D., to the eastern side of Marlow Road; then southerly along that roadside to a point in line with the southern boundary of Section 18, Block IX, aforesaid; then generally westerly to and along that boundary, the eastern and south-western boundaries of Section 4, Block XII, Motatau S.D., the southern boundaries of Motatau 2 No. 64B, 64A, and 63, to the eastern boundaries of Maromaku Block; then generally south-westerly along the eastern and southern boundaries of that block, crossing all intervening public roads, the south-eastern boundaries of Kaikou A1 and A2 crossing the Kaikou River in two places, the north-western boundary of Kaikou 3 No. 13B, crossing the intervening public road, and the production of the last-mentioned boundary, to the north-western side of Omauri Road; then westerly along that roadside and the southern boundary of Kaikou A3E to and down the middle of the Omapuaku stream and up the middle of the Kaikou River to and south-easterly along the north-eastern boundary of part of Nukutawhiti Block, shown on D.P. 9193 and D.P. 3728, to the northern boundary of Kaikou 3 No. 23; then easterly along that boundary and south-easterly along the south-western boundaries of Mangaroa Block, the north-eastern boundary of Lot 4, D.P. 42339, the eastern boundary of Section 5, Block VI, Mangakahia S.D., and the production of the last boundary to the middle of the Mangakahia River; then up the middle of that river to a point in line with the middle of Jacks Road; then to and along the middle of that road and Coxheads Road and its production to the north-east boundary of Section 2, Block XIV, Mangakahia S.D.; then north-westerly along that boundary to and along the south-western boundaries of Sections 43 and 39, the southern and south-western boundaries of Section 8A, all sections being of Block X, Mangakahia S.D., the north-eastern and north-western boundaries of Te Karaka 12 produced to the south-western side of Parakao Road, and north-westerly along that roadside, to the north-western boundary of Te Karaka 10; then along that boundary and the eastern boundaries of Te Karaka 25 and 24, to the boundary of Te Karaka Block; then south-westerly along that boundary crossing Murrays Road, the southern boundary of Section N. 10, Block XII, Tutamoe S.D., and that boundary produced to the eastern boundary of Section 4, Block XI, Tutamoe S.D.; then southerly along that boundary and its production to the
