Authorising a Secondary Use of Land in Block XVI, Cambridge Survey District, Matamata County, and Vesting the Control and Management Thereof in the Matamata County Council

Pursuant to section 37 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1948, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER
(a) It is hereby authorised that the land described in the Schedule hereto, being land held primarily for the development of water power (Lake Taupo and the Waikato River power scheme) be applied also for recreation purposes, which shall be a secondary use of the said land.
(b) Part II of the Reserves and Domains Act 1953 shall apply to the said land.
(c) The control and management of the said land is hereby vested in the Matamata County Council.
