Pursuant to section 15 of the Royal New Zealand Air Force Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve the following appointments, promotions, extensions of commissions, extension of commission and date of retirement, transfers to retired list, and retirements of officers of the Royal New Zealand Air Force.

REGULAR AIR FORCE

GENERAL DUTIES BRANCH

Appointment

Squadron Leader Frederick Martin Kinvig, p.s.c., c.f.s. (709721), to be temporary Wing Commander, with effect from 15 July 1968.

ADMINISTRATIVE AND SUPPLY BRANCH

Retirement

Equipment Division

Flight Lieutenant William James Spicer (82644) is retired, with effect from 5 July 1968.

EDUCATION BRANCH

Transfer to Retired List

Wing Commander George Eric Gudsell, B.Sc., DIP.TCHG., p.s.c. (70323), is transferred to the Retired List "A", with effect from 3 July 1968.

CHAPLAINS BRANCH

Extension of Commission

Flight Lieutenant (The Rev.) Theodore George Carpenter (82484) is granted an extension of his commission for a period to expire on 5 January 1973, to be followed by 4 years in the Reserve of Air Force Officers.

RESERVE OF AIR FORCE OFFICERS

Transfer to Retired List

Flight Lieutenant (temp.) Ivan Herman Gundersen (130586) is transferred to the Retired List "B", with effect from 8 July 1968.

AIR TRAINING CORPS

Appointments

Albert Graeme Thorburn is granted a commission in the Air Training Corps in the rank of Pilot Officer for a period ending 4 July 1972, with seniority and effect from 5 July 1968.

Michael Peter Lindroos is granted a commission in the Air Training Corps in the rank of Pilot Officer for a period ending 7 July 1972, with seniority and effect from 8 July 1968.

Promotions

The under-mentioned Acting Pilot Officers to be Pilot Officers, with seniority and effect from the dates shown:

Geoffrey Philip Dalzell, 1 July 1968.

Paul John Walker, 2 August 1968.

Extensions of Commissions

The under-mentioned Pilot Officers are granted extensions of their commissions until the dates shown:

Extension of Commission and Date of Retirement
