OAMARU BOROUGH COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

IN the matter of the Municipal Corporation Act 1954, and in the matter of the Public Works Act 1928, and its amendments, notice is hereby given that the Oamaru Borough Council proposed under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts to execute a certain public work, namely, the construction of an off-street parking area in Eden Street and for the purposes of such public work the freehold estate in that piece of land situated and known as No. 9 Eden Street in the Borough of Oamaru containing one (1) rood, more or less, being Section seven (7), Block VI, Town of Oamaru, and being all the land in certificate of title, Volume 301, folio 155, Otago Land Registry, owned by Martin John Greaney, of Awamoko, farmer, and Kevin Aubert Greaney, of Oamaru, baker, is required to be taken for the purposes of off-street parking; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so affected is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council, situated in Thames Street, Oamaru, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours. All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said freehold estate or interest in the said land, who have any objections to the taking of the freehold estate or interest in the said land, must state their objections in writing and send the same within 40 days from the first publication of this notice to the Town Clerk at the Oamaru Borough Council Chambers, Thames Street, Oamaru.

PAPATOETOE CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Footpath Construction Loan 1968—$20,000

THAT pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 the Papatoetoe City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on the loan of $20,000 authorised to be raised by the Papatoetoe City Council under the above-named Act for the purpose of footpath construction, the said Papatoetoe City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought one five eight cents (.0158c) in the dollar upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the city of Papatoetoe and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

BOROUGH OF PUKEKOHE

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Pensioner Flats Loan 1968 of $28,000

NOTICE is hereby given that the following resolution was passed at a meeting of the Pukekohe Borough Council held on 15th May 1968:

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Pukekohe Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $28,000 authorised to be raised by the Pukekohe Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting accommodation for old people, the said Pukekohe Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of nought decimal nought two four (0.024) cents in the dollar ($) upon the rateable value on the basis of the unimproved value of all rateable property in the Borough of Pukekohe; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and to be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of August and the 1st day of February in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

EAST COAST BAYS BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Repayment Loan 1968—$58,200

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the East Coast Bays Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $58,200 authorised to be raised by the East Coast Bays Borough Council under the provisions of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, for the purpose of repaying on maturity those portions of the Roading Loan No. 2—1962—$325,400 and Sewerage Reticulation Loan 1961—$360,000 which mature on 1 June and 1 December 1968 and

1 March 1969, the said East Coast Bays Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought five three nought three (.05303) cents in the dollar upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property in the Borough of East Coast Bays; and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed by the East Coast Bays Borough Council at a duly constituted meeting held on the 21st day of June 1968.

LOWER HUTT CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION TO MAKE SPECIAL RATE

Redemption Loan No. 29 1968—$119,000

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf, by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Lower Hutt City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of one hundred and nineteen thousand dollars ($119,000) authorised to be raised by the Lower Hutt City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying on maturity those portions of the Melling Bridge Loan 1954—$160,000; Hutt Estuary Bridge Loan 1955—$268,000; and Streets Extension Loan (No. 2) 1956—$140,000 which mature on 1 July and 23 October 1968, the said Lower Hutt City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of .131 of a cent in the dollar on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) on all rateable property in the city of Lower Hutt; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be incorporated and added to the consolidated special rate, made pursuant to the provisions of section 108A of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, and be payable yearly on or about the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 20 years, or until such time as the loan is repaid”.

Redemption Loan No. 28 1968, $285,000

THAT in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Lower Hutt City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of two hundred and eighty-five thousand dollars ($285,000) authorised to be raised by the Lower Hutt City Council under the above-named Act for the purpose of repaying on maturity those portions of the Stokes Valley Water and Sewerage Loan No. 2 1961—$336,000; Town Hall and Administrative Building Amalgamated Loan 1953—$560,000; Stormwater Drainage Loan 1961—$20,000; Redemption Loan No. 2 1961—$144,000; Transport Centre Loan 1957—$300,000; Drainage Loan 1958—$20,000; and Hutt County Council’s Stokes Valley Water and Sewerage Loan 1954—$436,000 which mature between 1 July and 1 December 1968 inclusive, the said Lower Hutt City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of two hundred and eighty-eight thousandths of a cent (.288c) in the dollar on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) on all the rateable property in the city of Lower Hutt; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be incorporated and added to the consolidated special rate, made pursuant to the provisions of section 108A of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, and be payable yearly on or about the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 20 years, or until such time as the loan is paid off”.

I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at the meeting of the Lower Hutt City Council held on 24 June 1968.
