PALMERSTON NORTH CITY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and its amend-
ments, notice is hereby given that the Palmerston North
City Council intends to take, under the provisions of the
Public Works Act 1928, the lands described in the Schedule
hereto for the purposes of a public utility. A plan of the
said lands is deposited at the public office of the Palmerston
North City Council, The Square, Palmerston North, and is
there open for inspection by all persons at all reasonable
hours. All persons affected by the execution of the said
public work or by the taking of the said lands are hereby
required and called upon to set forth in writing any objec-
tion to the execution of the said public work or to the taking
of the said lands (not being an objection to the amount or
payment of compensation) and to send such writing within
forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice to
the Town Clerk of the City of Palmerston North. If any
such objection is made a public hearing of the same will be
held unless the objector otherwise requires and each objector
will be advised of the time and place of such hearing.

SCHEDULE
(a) Three acres one rood thirty-eight decimal five perches
(3 a. 1 r. 38.5 p.) being part Section 426, Town of Palmerston
North, being part C.T. 715/99 (Wellington Registry); as
the same is coloured blue on S.O. 27120.
(b) Twenty-two decimal four perches (22.4 p.) being part
Section 426, Town of Palmerston North, being part C.T.
715/99 (Wellington Registry); as the same is coloured orange
on S.O. 27120.
The above-described lands are situated on the eastern side
of Rangitikei Line adjacent to the northern bank of the
Mangaone Stream.

FEATHERSTON COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Counties Act 1956 and in the matter
of the Public Works Act 1928, notice is hereby given that
the Featherston County Council proposes under the provisions
of the above-mentioned Acts to execute a certain public work.
namely, the realignment of a public road, and for the purpose
of such public work the land described in the Schedule
hereto is required to be taken; and notice is hereby further
given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is
deposited in the public office of the Clerk to the said Council,
situate at Kitchener Street, Martinborough, and is open for
inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office
hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public
work or by the taking of such land who have any objection
to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of
the said land (not being an objection to the amount or
payment of compensation) must state their objections in
writing and send the written objection within 40 days from
the first publication of this notice to the County Clerk at
the Council Chambers, Kitchener Street, Martinborough. If
any objection is made as aforesaid, a public hearing of the
objection will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires,
and each objector will be advised of the date and place of
the hearing.
