(b) One member by resolution of the Taranaki County Council.

  1. The amount to be paid to the Fire Board of the said Fire District by the councils of the City of New Plymouth and the County of Taranaki pursuant to section 53 of the said Act shall, until 31 March 1970, be in the proportion of 87 percent by the New Plymouth City Council and 13 percent by the Taranaki County Council and shall thereafter be in proportion to the value of buildings on rateable property together with the value of buildings on property on which grants in lieu of rates are paid in the City of New Plymouth and that part of Taranaki County included in the said Fire District, as assessed by the Valuation Department as at 31 March in the preceding year:

Provided however that should any capital expenditure be required to be made within the district of the Taranaki County for the purposes of the said Fire District within a period of five years after the effective date of this order the proportion of such capital expenditure required to be borne and paid shall be 50 percent by the New Plymouth City Council and 50 percent by the Taranaki County Council.

SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District comprising the City of New Plymouth and portion of the Taranaki County bounded by a line commencing on the sea coast in the middle of the mouth of the Timaru Stream and proceeding generally southerly up the middle of that stream to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 6126; thence to and southerly along the eastern boundary of that lot, to and generally south-easterly along the north-eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 7319, and its production to the middle of South Road; thence westerly generally along the middle of South Road and an unnamed public road, forming the northern boundary of Part Section 87, Tataraimaka District, and its production to the middle of the Timaru Stream; thence again southerly generally up the middle of the said Timaru Stream to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Part Section 169, Oakura District; thence north-easterly to and along that boundary to and along the north-western boundary of Part Section 170, Oakura District, and its production to the middle of Surrey Hill Road; thence southerly generally along the middle of that road to Forest Road; thence easterly generally along the middle of Forest Road to the western boundary of Part Section 134, Omata District; thence southerly along that boundary and its production to the middle of the Mangorei Stream; thence north-easterly down the middle of that stream to a point in line with the middle of Forest Road; thence easterly generally to and along the middle of that road to the middle of the Kaiauai Stream; thence down the middle of that stream to a point in line with the northern boundary of Section 89, Hua and Waiwakaiho Hundred; thence westerly to and along that boundary and its production to the middle of Maude Road; thence northerly along the middle of Maude Road, Alfred Road, and Junction Road to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Part Section 53, Hua and Waiwakaiho Hundred (D.P. 1875); thence north-easterly to and along that boundary and its production to the middle of the Waiwakaiho River; thence northerly generally down the middle of that river to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Lot 5, D.P. 1437; thence south-easterly to and along that boundary and its production to the southern side of Kaipi Road; thence easterly along the southern side of that road to and along the southern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 1437, and its production to the middle of the Araheke Stream; thence northerly generally down the middle of that stream to a point in line with the western boundary of Part Section 28, Hua District; thence northerly to and along that boundary to and easterly along the northern boundary of the said Part Section 28 to Egmont Road; thence again easterly along a right line across Egmont Road to and along the northern boundary of Parts Section 28, Hua District, and its production to the middle of Tape Road; thence southerly along the middle of Tape Road and its production to the middle of the Mangaoraka Stream; thence northerly down the middle of that stream to a point in line with the southern boundary of Section 15, Tarurutangi District; thence easterly to and along that boundary and its production to the middle of Upland Road; thence northerly along the middle of that road to a point in line with the southern boundary of Part Section 13, Tarurutangi District; thence easterly to and along that boundary and its production to the middle of the Awai Stream; thence northerly generally down the middle of that stream to the middle of Manutahi Road; thence easterly generally along the middle of that road to the middle of Lepper Road; thence northerly along the middle of Lepper Road to its intersection with Te Arei Road; thence westerly along the middle of Te Arei Road to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Section 97E, Waitara West District; thence northerly to and along that boundary and its production to the middle of the Mangaoraka Stream; thence northerly generally down the middle of that stream to and again generally northerly down the middle of the Waiongana Stream to the sea coast; thence south-westerly generally along the sea coast to the point of commencement, excluding all those areas of the Egmont National Park lying within the above described boundaries.

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council

PURSUANT to the Local Government Commission Act 1967, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. This order shall come into force on the 1st day of April 1968.

  2. The area described in the First Schedule hereto is hereby excluded from the district of the County of Whangarei and included in the district of the County of Otamatea.

  3. The area described in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby excluded from the district of the County of Otamatea and included in the district of the County of Whangarei.

  4. The alteration of the boundaries of the said counties hereinbefore made, shall be deemed to have been effected under the Counties Act 1956.

FIRST SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District containing 1,391 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at the northernmost corner of Section 7, Block I, Waipu Survey District and proceeding easterly, southerly, and westerly along the northern, eastern, and southern boundaries of the said Section 7 to and northerly generally along the boundary of the Whangarei County, as described in N.Z. Gazette, 1960, page 2004, to the point of commencement.

SECOND SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, containing 566 acres 2 roods, more or less, commencing at a point on the boundary of the Whangarei County as described in N.Z. Gazette, 1960, page 2004, being the north-eastern corner of Section 9, Block IV, Waipu Survey District and proceeding easterly generally along the said county boundary to a point in line with the north-western side of the public road forming the generally eastern boundaries of Allotments N.W. 126, S.E. 126, 125, and N.E. 124, Wairau Parish; thence southerly to and along that roadside to and westerly along the south-western boundary of Allotment N.E. 124, the south-eastern boundaries of Allotments N.E. 120, S.W. 120, the south-eastern and southern boundaries of Allotment N.E. 118, the southern boundaries of Allotments S.W. 118 and N.E. 116, the southern and western boundaries of Allotment S.W. 116, all the said allotments being of Wairau Parish, and along the western end of a public road to the point of commencement.

PURSUANT to the Local Government Commission Act 1967, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. This order shall come into force on the 1st day of April 1968.

  2. The area described in the Schedule hereto is hereby excluded from the County of Ellesmere and included in the County of Malvern.

  3. The said alteration of boundaries shall be deemed to be effected under the Counties Act 1956.

SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, Ellesmere County, containing 2,160 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at the junction of the middle lines of Hororata-Dunsandel Road and a road passing through Reserves 3373 and 1763 and forming the south-eastern
