NOTICE TO TAKE LAND FOR ROAD AND TO STOP ROAD

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to execute a certain public work, namely, the construction of a road and for the purposes of that public work the land described in the First Schedule hereto is required to be taken and the portion of the road described in the Second Schedule hereto are required to be stopped. PURSUANT to the powers contained in the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 the Hokianga County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $20,000 authorised to be raised by the Hokianga County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of fully developing and subdividing an area of 65 acres at Opononi, the said Hokianga County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.111 of a cent in the dollar upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property in the County of Hokianga; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

Wairupe Reclamation Loan 1968—$5,500

PURSUANT to the powers contained in the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 the Hokianga County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $5,500 authorised to be raised by the Hokianga County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of installing a culvert and floodgate to enable the reclamation of some 200 acres of farmable land at the mouth of the Wairupe Creek, the said Hokianga County Council hereby makes a special rate of 6.59 cents in the dollar upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property of the Wairupe special rating area within the Kohukohu Riding of the County of Hokianga; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 15 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
