The Control of Prices (Positive List) Notice 1966, Amendment No. 6

Pursuant to the Control of Prices Act 1947, the Minister of Industries and Commerce hereby gives the following notice:

  1. This notice may be cited as the Control of Prices (Positive List) Notice 1966, Amendment No. 6, and shall be read together with, and deemed to be part of, the Control of Prices (Positive List) Notice 1966* (hereinafter referred to as the principal notice).

  2. This notice shall come into force on the day after the date of its publication in the Gazette.

  3. The principal notice is hereby amended by omitting the reference to “Sugar” under the general heading of Foodstuffs and Related Commodities, Subheading Groceries, and by substituting the following:

“Sugar, excluding raw sugar and No. 3 brown sugar, and excluding caster sugar, icing sugar, loaf sugar and coffee sugar crystals”.

Declaring Land no Longer Subject to the Provisions of the Iron and Steel Industry Act 1959

Pursuant to the Iron and Steel Industry Act 1959, the Minister of Mines hereby gives the following notice.


NOTICE

The land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be no longer subject to the provisions of the Iron and Steel Industry Act 1959.


SCHEDULE

All that area of land in the North Auckland land district containing by way of admeasurement 97 acres 3 roods 0.5 perches of land, more or less, being Lot 1, D.P. 28962, being part of allotment 407 and allotments 451, 468, 469 in Waipipi Parish, situated in Blocks II and IV, Maioro Survey District, being more particularly delineated on plans S.O. 42379 and S.O. 45763 deposited in the Head Office of the Mines Department, and thereon edged in red.

Authorising Purchase of Apples and Pears by the New Zealand Apple and Pear Marketing Board (Notice No. Ag. 10235)

Pursuant to section 23A of the Apple and Pear Marketing Act 1948 the Minister of Agriculture hereby declares that apples and pears harvested during the 1967–68 season which are fit for human consumption but which are not in conformance with any standard of grading prescribed in regulations under the said Act, may be purchased from growers by the New Zealand Apple and Pear Marketing Board as “Windfall” grade in accordance with the following specification:

“Windfall Grade means apples and pears, fallen from trees because of the effects of gale or wind, which conform in all other respects to the requirements of Domestic Grade, are of suitable maturity, are free from bad bruising, and are washed clean where necessary.”
