SOUTH CANTERBURY ELECTRIC POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Renewal Loan 1968—$80,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the South Canterbury Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of eighty thousand dollars ($80,000) authorised to be raised by the South Canterbury Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of redeeming on 1 September 1968 the sum of $80,000 being a portion of the Electricity Development Loan 1955—Part II, $240,000 which matures on that date, the South Canterbury Electric Power Board hereby makes a special rate of one hundredth of a cent (0.01c) in the dollar ($1) upon the rateable value (being the capital value) of all rateable property within the South Canterbury Electric Power District as defined in the Third Schedule to the Proclamation dated 23 August 1957 and published in the New Zealand Gazette on 29 August 1957 at page 1575; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, being a period of 6 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

Electricity Generation Loan (No. 1) 1967—$35,700
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that, at a meeting of the Tauranga Electric Power Board held on 15 May 1968, the following resolution was passed:
“That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of principal and interest and other charges in respect of the Tauranga Electric Power Board Generation Loan (No. 1) 1967, of $35,700 authorised to be raised by special order under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 for the purpose of erecting bridges, culverts, and protecting roading to the proposed Mangapapa power project, the Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal zero one of a cent in the dollar on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Tauranga Electric Power District; and that such special rate shall be payable on 15 May in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 30 years, or until such loan is fully paid off.”

“That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of principal and interest and other charges in respect of the Tauranga Electric Power Board Generation Loan (No. 2) 1967 of $40,000 authorised to be raised by special order under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 for the purpose of preparing plans and specifications in connection with the building of two hydro-electric stations on the Wairoa River, the Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal zero one of a cent in the dollar on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Tauranga Electric Power District; and that such special rate shall be payable on 15 May in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 30 years, or until such loan is fully paid off.”

Notice of Application for Consent to Conditional Use
NOTICE is hereby given that application has been made by Caltex Oil (N.Z.) Ltd. for consent to a conditional use within the District Scheme of the City of Auckland in that the applicant wishes to utilise the below described land for the purposes of erecting thereon three tanks for the storage of bulk lubricating oil, and an oil heater.
The property is on the west side of Halsey Street, between Jellicoe Street and Madden Street, Auckland; and is located in the Manufacturing M6 zone.
The legal description of the land is all that piece of land containing a total of 2 roods 0.79 of a perch, more or less, being Lots 10, 11, and 14 on Deeds Plan 226 and being part of the land known as the Western Reclamation and being part of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 767, folio 183 (North Auckland Registry).
The application may be examined at the office of the Auckland City Council, Administration Building, Cook Street, Auckland, during normal office hours and any person or body affected may object to the application by notice in writing delivered to the Town Clerk, Auckland City Council, Private Bag, Auckland, not later than 4 p.m. on the 14th day of June 1968.
Every objector shall state the grounds of the objection and whether the objector wishes to be heard by the Council in support of his objection.

IN the matter of the Public Works Act 1928, public notice is hereby given that the Waikato County Council proposes under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928 to stop the portions of road described in the Schedule hereto. A plan of the portions of road proposed to be stopped is open for public inspection at the office of the Waikato County Council, Grey Street, Hamilton East, during 40 days from the date of the first publication of this notice. All persons objecting to the proposal must lodge their objection in writing at the office of the Council on or before the 3rd day of July 1968.
