Declaring Land Taken for the Purposes of the Avondale-Onehunga-Southdown Railway in the Borough of Onehunga

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Railways hereby declares that, a sufficient agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of the Avondale-Onehunga-Southdown Railway on and after the 6th day of May 1968.

Declaration That Land is a Public Reserve

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby notifies that the following resolution was passed by the Tauranga City Council on the 27th day of November 1967:

“That, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 13 of the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Tauranga City Council hereby resolves that the pieces of land vested in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the said city in fee simple and described in the schedule hereto shall be and the same are hereby declared to be a public reserve for recreation purposes within the meaning of the said Act.”

Revocation of the Reservation Over a Reserve Specifying the Manner of Disposal and How Proceeds of Sale Shall be Utilised

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby revokes the reservation as a reserve for road purposes over the land described in the Schedule hereto and, further, declares that the said land may be disposed of by the Hamilton City Council at current market value, the proceeds from any such sale to be paid into the Council’s reserve account, such moneys to be used and applied in or towards the improvement of other public reserves under the control of the Council, or in or towards the purchase of other land for public reserves.
