NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
——

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Waipa County Council proposes to execute a certain public work, to wit the construction of a public road for which purpose the land described in the Schedule hereto requires to be taken by the council under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928. A plan of the land required to be taken as aforesaid lies open to public inspection at the office of the council in Bank Street, Te Awamutu.

Every person affected is hereby called upon to set forth in writing any objection he may wish to make to the execution of such work or to the taking of such land, not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation, and to send such written objection to the Waipa County Council within 40 days from the first publication of this notice. A public hearing of the objection will be held unless the objector otherwise requires and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

IN the matter of the Public Works Act 1928, public notice is hereby given that the Waikato County Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take for road the portion of land described in the First Schedule hereto and to take for the use, convenience, or enjoyment of a road the portions of land described in the Second Schedule hereto. A plan of the portions of land proposed to be taken is open for public inspection at the office of the Waikato County Council, Grey Street, Hamilton East, during 40 days from the date of the first publication of this notice. All persons objecting to the proposal must lodge their objections in writing at the office of the council on or before the 9th day of May 1968.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

NOTICE is hereby given that the Taranaki County Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purpose of construction of works for the disposal of sewage from the Bell Block Urban Drainage Area. A plan showing the land proposed to be taken is available for public inspection at the office of the Taranaki County Council, Robe Street, New Plymouth. Any person affected may set forth in writing any objection he may wish to make to the taking of the land or construction of the said work, not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation, such objection to be lodged at the office of the Taranaki County Council within 40 days of the first publication of this notice. If any objection is made a public hearing of the objection will be held unless the objector otherwise requires and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

SCHEDULE

THAT land containing 82 acres, more or less, situated in Block II, Paritutu Survey District being Mangati E Block as shown on Plan No. ML 856 held at the office of the Chief Surveyor at New Plymouth and being part of the land described in certificate of title, Volume B1, folio 1254 (Taranaki Registry), the said land being situated at the end of Smeaton Road, Bell Block, bounded on the north by the Tasman Sea on the east by the Mangati Stream and on the west by a prolongation of the eastern side of Smeaton Road.

TAUMARUNUI BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
——

Hydro Electricity Station Extension Loan 1967

PURSUANT to section 34 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 the Taumarunui Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of one hundred and fifty-six thousand dollars ($156,000) authorised to be raised by the Taumarunui Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of installing new plant, machinery, an electric generator, and other necessary works at Piriaka, the said Taumarunui Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of point six three two cents in the dollar (.632c) on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) on all rateable property comprised within the Borough of Taumarunui; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and be payable yearly during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully repaid.”

I hereby resolve that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed by the Taumarunui Borough Council at a meeting held on Monday, 26 February 1968.
