BOUNDARIES OF COUNTY OF KAIRANGA

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District bounded by a line commencing in Block IV, Mount Robinson S.D., at the confluence of the Oroua and Manawatu Rivers, and proceeding up the middle of the Manawatu River to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Section 389, Town of Fitzherbert, in Block I, Arawaru S.D., being also the north-eastern boundary of Tuwhakatupua 1A as shown on M.L. Plan 890; thence south-easterly to and along the last-mentioned boundary to Trig Station Mangawarawara on the eastern boundary of Section 44, Block I, Arawaru S.D., along a right line to the intersection of the north-western boundary of Section 333, Town of Fitzherbert, with the western side of Scotts Road in Block VI, Arawaru S.D.; thence south-westerly along the boundary of Section 333 aforesaid; thence south-easterly along the generally south-western boundaries of Sections 333, 320, and 319, Town of Fitzherbert, to a road and the production of the last-mentioned boundary along that road and to the southernmost corner of the said Section 319; thence southerly and south-easterly along the eastern boundary of Section 10, Block X, Arawaru S.D., and its production across a road to and along the western and south-western boundaries of Section 318, Town of Fitzherbert, to its southernmost corner; thence generally north-easterly along the south-eastern boundaries of Sections 318, 317, 316, and 315, Town of Fitzherbert, to the easternmost corner of the said Section 315, along right lines to Trig Station AA (Arawaru), to Trig. Station Marima, and to the north-western corner of Section 9, Block IX, Mangahao S.D., a right line to and along the north-western boundaries of Section 4, Block V, Mangahao S.D., and Sections 3, 2, and 1, Block VI, Mangahao S.D., the south-western boundaries of Sections 13 and 19, Block XIX, Mangahao S.D., the eastern side of South Range Road to the southern side of Aokautere-Pahiatua Road, a right line to and along the eastern side of North Range Road, and the road forming the north-western boundaries of Sections 2 and 10, Block II, Mangahao S.D., the generally south-western boundaries of Lot 3 of Section 26, Block II, Mangahao S.D., the eastern side of North Range Road to a point in line with the western boundary of Section 1, Block I, Mangahao S.D., and to and along that boundary and its production to the middle of the Manawatu River; thence westerly down the middle of that River to intersect a line between the southernmost corner of Lot 1, D.P. 239, and the easternmost corner of Lot 49, D.P. 185; thence generally south-westerly along that line, a right line across No. 3 State Highway to and along the south-eastern boundary of Lot 50, D.P. 185, and the north-eastern and south-eastern boundaries of Section 166, Town of Fitzherbert, to the north-eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 2676; thence again south-westerly along a right line to and along the south-eastern boundaries of Lots 10 and 11, D.P. 2676, a right line across Centre Road to and along the south-eastern boundaries of Lots 18, 19, and 20, D.P. 2676, a right line across Back Road to and along the south-eastern boundary of Lot 21, D.P. 2676, to its southernmost corner, a right line to and along the south-eastern boundary of Lot 13, D.P. 4945, and along the abutment of a road to its middle line; thence north-westerly along the middle of that road forming the south-western boundaries of Lot 13, D.P. 4945, and Lot 9, D.P. 2676, and its production to a point in line with the southern boundary of Section 451, Town of Palmerston North; thence generally westerly to and along that boundary, the south-eastern boundaries of Section 450, Town of Palmerston North, a right line across Te Matai Road to and along the south-eastern and south-western boundaries of Section 449, Town of Palmerston North, a right line across No. 3 State Highway to and along the north-eastern boundaries of Lot A, D.P. 210, (including the crossing of the Wellington-Napier Railway), a right line across Hendersons Line to and along the south-western side of a road forming the north-eastern boundaries of Lots 35, 34, 33, 32, 31, and 30, of Section 412, Town of Palmerston North, and its production to the middle of Kelvin Grove Road, and along the middle of that road to the middle of Stony Creek Road; thence north-westerly along the middle of the original alignment of that road and its production to the eastern side of the North Island Main Trunk Railway, along that side and the north-eastern side of that Railway to the Oroua River, and along a right line to a point in the middle of the Oroua River in line with the production of the north-eastern side of the railway aforesaid on the opposite side of the Oroua River; thence down the middle of the Oroua River to the point of commencement; excluding therefrom the City of Palmerston North hereinbefore described.

BOUNDARIES OF MANGAONE RIDING OF COUNTY OF KAIRANGA

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District being portion of the County of Kairanga bounded by a line commencing at a point in the middle of the Oroua River in line with the middle of Milsons Line in Block I, Kairanga S.D., and proceeding southerly to and along the middle of that road and south-easterly along the middle of the said road (part being also No. 54 State Highway) to a point in line with the north-western side of Flygers Line; thence generally easterly and southerly along the boundaries of the City of Palmerston North hereinbefore described to the right bank of the Manawatu River, and along the production of the said city boundary to the middle of the Manawatu River; thence up the middle of the Manawatu River to a point in line with the southern boundary of Section 451, Town of Palmerston North; thence generally north-westerly and south-westerly along the boundaries of the County of Kairanga hereinbefore described to the point of commencement.

BOUNDARIES OF CENTRAL RIDING OF COUNTY OF KAIRANGA

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District being portion of the County of Kairanga bounded by a line commencing at a point in the middle of the Oroua River in the middle of Rongotea Road in Block V, Kairanga S.D., and proceeding south-easterly along the middle of that road and Shirriffs Road to the right bank of the Manawatu River; thence easterly along that bank to the north-eastern side of Shirriffs Road; thence north-westerly and generally north-easterly along the boundaries of the City of Palmerston North hereinbefore described to the middle of Milsons Line; thence generally north-westerly along the middle of that road (part being also No. 54 State Highway) and its production to the middle of the Oroua River; thence down the middle of the Oroua River to the point of commencement.

BOUNDARIES OF FITZHERBERT EAST RIDING OF COUNTY OF KAIRANGA

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District being portion of the County of Kairanga bounded by a line commencing at a point on the right bank of the Manawatu River in line with the middle of the road forming the south-western boundary of Section 198, Town of Fitzherbert, in Block XIV, Kairanga S.D., and proceeding generally south-easterly to and along the middle of that road, No. 57 State Highway, Fitzherbert West Road and Kahuterawa Road to a point in line with the western boundary of Section 277, Town of Fitzherbert, in Block III, Arawaru S.D.; thence southerly to and along that boundary and easterly along the northern boundary of Section 306, Town of Fitzherbert, and its production to the north-western boundary of Section 4, Block V, Mangahao S.D.; thence generally north-easterly and westerly along the boundaries of the County of Kairanga hereinbefore described to the middle of the Manawatu River; thence generally south-westerly along the boundaries of Mangaone Riding and the City of Palmerston North hereinbefore described to the point of commencement.

BOUNDARIES OF FITZHERBERT WEST RIDING OF COUNTY OF KAIRANGA

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District being portion of the County of Kairanga bounded by a line commencing at a point in the middle of the Manawatu River in line with the south-western boundary of Section 389, Town of Fitzherbert, in Block I, Arawaru S.D., and proceeding up the middle of the Manawatu River to a point in line with the middle of Shirriffs Road; thence north-westerly along that middle line to the right bank of the Manawatu River and generally north-easterly along that bank to a point in line with the middle of the road forming the south-western boundary of Section 198, Town of Fitzherbert; thence generally south-easterly, south-westerly, and north-westerly along the boundaries of Fitzherbert East Riding and the County of Kairanga hereinbefore described to the point of commencement.

PURSUANT to section 26 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, the Secretary for Internal Affairs hereby defines, as set out in the Schedule hereto, the boundaries of the City of Timaru, the County of Levels, and the Waimataitai, Seadown, Claremont, and Point Ridings of the County of Levels; the County of Mackenzie and the Albury Riding of the County of Mackenzie; the previous boundaries having been altered by Orders in Council made on 19 December 1962, and published in Gazette, 10 January 1963, No. 1, page 10; on 10 February 1964, and published in Gazette, 20 February 1964, No. 8, page 213; and on 25 August 1965, and published in Gazette, 26 August 1965, No. 46, page 1366.
