The Traffic (Whakatane County) Notice 1967
PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Trans-
port hereby gives the following notice.
NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Whakatane
    County) Notice 1967.
  2. The roads specified in the Schedule hereto are hereby
    declared to be a closely populated locality for the purposes
    of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.
  3. The Warrant under section 36 of the Transport Act
    1949 dated the 13th day of October 1959, which relates to
    Te Teko in Whakatane County is hereby revoked.
    SCHEDULE
    SITUATED within Whakatane County at Te Teko:
    No. 30 State Highway (Te Kuiti - Whakatane) (from a
    point 4 chains measured south-easterly generally from the
    bridge over the Rangitaiki River to a point 18 chains measured
    south-westerly generally along the said highway from the
    Te Teko - Awakeri via Edgecumbe Road).
    The Te Teko-Awakeri via Edgecumbe Road (from the
    No. 30 State Highway (Te Kuiti - Whakatane) to a point
    32 chains measured northerly generally along the said road
    from the said highway).
    The Te Teko-Murupara Road (from the No. 30 State
    Highway (Te Kuiti - Whakatane) to a point 12 chains
    measured southerly generally along the Te Teko - Murupara
    Road from the said highway).

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Trans-
port hereby gives the following notice.
NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Christchurch City)
    Notice No. 2, 1967.
  2. The roads specified in the Schedule hereto are hereby
    excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section
    52 of the Transport Act 1962, and are hereby declared to be
    a 40-mile speed-limit area for the purposes of regulation 27A
    of the Traffic Regulations 1956.
    SCHEDULE
    SITUATED within Christchurch City:
    Tunnel Road (from a point 5 chains measured northerly
    generally along the said road from Ferry Road to Linwood
    Avenue).
    Dyers Road (from Linwood Avenue to a point 2Β½ chains
    measured southerly generally along the said road from Breezes
    Road).

The Traffic (Edendale Town District) Notice 1967
PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Trans-
port hereby gives the following notice.
NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Edendale Town
    District) Notice 1967.
  2. The roads specified in the Schedule hereto are hereby
    excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52
    of the Transport Act 1962.
  3. So much of the Warrant under section 3 of the Motor
    Vehicles Amendment Act 1936 dated the 10th day of
    November 1937, which relates to Edendale Town District is
    hereby revoked.
    SCHEDULE
    SITUATED within Edendale Town District:
    No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) (from the northern
    boundary of Edendale Town District to a point 15 chains
    measured northerly generally along the said highway from
    Ferry Road).
    Ferry Road (from the eastern boundary of Edendale Town
    District to a point 2 chains measured westerly generally along
    the said road from Village Road).
    Edendale-Seaward Downs Road (from the southern
    boundary of Edendale Town District to a point 5 chains
    measured southerly generally along the said road from Turner
    Street).

Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1964
PURSUANT to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1964, the
Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the
provisions of clause (1) of regulation 16 of the said regulations
so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors shall
not apply to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof
the following provisions shall apply:
A motor driver's licence issued under the Motor Drivers
Regulations 1964
to the person described in column 1 of the
Schedule hereunder may authorise him to drive a heavy trade
motor in the course of his employment for the employer
described in column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not
authorise him while he is under the age of 18 years, to drive a
heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

Declaration That Land is a Public Reserve
PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister
of Lands hereby notifies that the following resolution was
passed by the Howick Borough Council on the 8th day of
August 1967:
"That, in exercise of the powers conferred in it by section 13
of the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Howick Borough
Council hereby resolves that the piece of land held by the Mayor,
Councillors, and Citizens of the said borough in fee simple and
described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby
declared to be a public reserve for recreation purposes within the
meaning of the said Act."
