  1. (1) The principal order is hereby amended by revoking clause 11 (as substituted by clause 2 of the Wellington Savings Bank Order 1964, Amendment No. 1), and substituting the following clause:

“11. Investments—(1) Notwithstanding anything in section 24 of the Act, but subject to subsections (4A) and (5) thereof and to subclause (2) of this clause, the Bank may invest any money deposited in or belonging to the Bank in the following manner only:

“(a) If the total amount of such money (excluding money deposited in investment accounts) does not exceed $2,000,000, not less than 60 percent thereof shall be invested in New Zealand Government securities:

“(b) If the total amount of such last-described money exceeds $2,000,000, not less than $1,200,000 thereof together with not less than 50 percent of so much thereof as exceeds $2,000,000 shall be invested in New Zealand Government securities:

“(c) Any amount not so invested in New Zealand Government securities (excluding the amount required by subsection (3) of section 24 of the Act to be kept immediately available) may be invested in any of the ways specified in subsection (1) of section 24 of the Act.

“(2) Notwithstanding the provisions of subsection (5) of section 24 of the Act, money invested under paragraph (c) of subclause (1) of this clause on mortgages of estates or interests in land occupied or to be occupied by officers of the bank for residential purposes shall be invested on such terms and conditions as the Minister may approve in writing.”

(2) The following orders are hereby revoked:

(a) The Wellington Savings Bank Order 1964, Amendment No. 1:

(b) The Wellington Savings Bank Order 1964, Amendment No. 2.

Vesting the Control of Lake Okataina Scenic Reserves in a Board of Control

RICHARD WILD, Administrator of the Government

PURSUANT to subsection (1) of section 17 of the Maori Purposes Act 1931, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government hereby vests the control of the reserves described in the Schedule hereto in a Board of Control to be called the Lake Okataina Scenic Board, to hold the same in trust for the preservation of scenery, and hereby appoints the undermentioned persons, namely:

The Commissioner of Crown Lands for the South Auckland Land District, ex officio;

Kepa Ehau;
Matina Hemana;
Henry Ariariterangi Mitchell;
Kapua te Ua; and
Charles Serjeant

to be members of the said Lake Okataina Scenic Board; and hereby declares that each member shall hold office for a period of seven years from the date hereof, unless this Warrant shall be previously altered or revoked, or unless he shall cease to be a member under the provisions of regulations to be made for the practice and procedure of the Board.

The first meeting of the Board shall be held in Rotorua on Tuesday, the 14th day of November 1967. Thereafter the Board shall meet for the transaction of business at such times and place as may from time to time be fixed by the Board.


SCHEDULE

SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT—LAKE OKATAINI SCENIC RESERVE—MATAMATA COUNTY

SECTIONS 5 and 6, Block XVI, Rotoiti Survey District: Area, 3 acres 3 roods and 0.2 perches, more or less, comprised in certificate of title, Volume 1d, folio 857.

Also parts Okataina No. 3 Block, situated in Block XVI, Rotoiti Survey District, and Block IV, Tarawera Survey District: Area, 380 acres 3 roods and 11.3 perches, more or less.

Also parts Okataina Nos. 4 and 5 Blocks, situated in Blocks XV and XVI, Rotoiti Survey District, and Block III, Tarawera Survey District: Area, 1,154 acres 1 rood and 37.5 perches, more or less.

Also parts Okataina No. 6B Block, situated in Blocks III and IV, Tarawera Survey District: Area 620 acres, more or less.

Also parts Okataina Nos. 7 and 8 Blocks, situated in Blocks IV and VIII, Tarawera Survey District: Area, 811 acres 3 roods and 20 perches, more or less (S.O. 24932L, 36326).

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Administrator of the Government this 6th day of November 1967.

Appointment of Member of Taieri Lake Domain Board

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby appoints

Kevin James Damer Geddes

to be a member of the Taieri Lake Domain Board, Otago Land District, Maniototo County, in place of Alexander Ferguson Pearson who has left the district.
