to Peter Daniel Rowley Smith, of Queenstown, farmer, by Patrick Hedley Scott, of Queenstown, farmer, of his rights, powers, and privileges under an Order in Council dated the 23rd day of July 1957, and published in the Gazette on the 25th day of the same month at page 1374, authorising Rui Raymond Key, of Fairlie, farmer, to use water for the purpose of generating electricity, the rights, powers, and privileges under the said Order in Council having been assigned to the said Patrick Hedley Scott, under an Order in Council dated the 21st day of November 1960, and published in the Gazette on the 1st day of December 1960, at page 1878.

Amending an Order in Council Authorising Pohokura Timber Co. Ltd. to Erect and Use Certain Electric Lines in the County of Taupo

At the Government House at Wellington this 19th day of October 1967
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby amends the Order in Council dated the 26th day of November 1958, and published in the Gazette, on the 4th day of December 1958, at page 1748, authorising Pohokura Timber Co. Ltd., to erect and use certain electric lines, by deleting clause 3 and the Schedule thereto, and substituting the following clause 3 and Schedule therefor.
“SYSTEM OF SUPPLY
- The system of supply shall be described in paragraphs (a, b, and d) of regulation 15 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1967, and shall be an alternating-current system.”
“SCHEDULE
LINES for the supply of electrical energy by the system of supply hereinbefore described, commencing from the licencee’s generator and proceeding as follows:
(a) (i) In a north-westerly direction to a pole; thence in a northerly direction to a house.
(ii) In a north-westerly direction to a pole, thence across the Napier-Taupo Main Highway to a pole and three cottages; thence in a south to south-westerly direction to a group of houses.
(b) In a south-westerly direction to a store, office, and huts. All being situated in Pohokura No. 3 Block X, Runanga Survey District, in the County of Taupo, the said lines and buildings being more particularly shown on the plan marked N.Z.E.D. 307 deposited in the office of the New Zealand Electricity Department at Wellington.”

Nightcaps Independent Town District Merged in Wallace County

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington this 19th day of October 1967
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Local Government Commission Act 1961, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order:
ORDER
-
This order shall take effect on 1 November 1967.

The Nightcaps Independent Town District is hereby merged in the County of Wallace and the Council of the said independent town district is hereby dissolved.

The area comprising the former Nightcaps Independent Town District shall be a county town, within the Wairoa Riding of the County of Wallace, having the name of “Nightcaps”.

Until the first triennial general election of members of county councils held after the date of the said merger, the members of the committee of the said County Town, shall be the Chairman and members of the former Nightcaps Independent Town Council and the member of the Wallace County Council for the Wairoa Riding, who shall be the Chairman of the said committee.

The provisions of Part XXX of the Counties Act 1956, shall apply in all respects as if the said county town had been constituted under section 417 of that Act.

Except as otherwise provided herein, or in the Local Government Commission Act 1961, the provisions of section 28 of the Counties Act 1956 shall apply in all respects as a result of the said merger as if the Nightcaps Independent Town District were a dependent town district.

The District Land Registrar for the Southland Land Registration District is hereby directed to make such entries in his Register and to do all such other things as may be necessary to give effect to the provisions of clause 6 hereof.

All the valuation rolls, electors lists, electors rolls, and rate books in force in the former Nightcaps Independent Town District on 31 October 1967, shall continue in force and be deemed to be the valuation rolls, electors lists, electors rolls, and rate books in force in Nightcaps County Town, until new valuation rolls, electors lists, electors rolls, and rate books are made for the said county town.

PURSUANT to section 149 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the Waiheke Road Board stopping the portions of road described in the Schedule hereto.
