A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to subsection (6) of section 5 of the Education Lands Act 1949, I, Brigadier Sir Bernard Edward Fergusson, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto, being an area vested in the Canterbury Education Board as a site for a public school, shall be vested in Her Majesty the Queen, freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date hereof.

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT—LEVELS COUNTY

PART Reserve 3700, situated in Block IV, Otaio Survey District: Area, 2 acres 2 roods 29.3 perches, more or less. Part certificate of title, Volume 223, folio 228 (S.O. Plan 10873). As shown on the plan marked L. and S. 32/580/2B deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Permanent State Forest Land Set Apart as State Forest Park

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 63A (1) (a) of the Forests Act 1949, I, Brigadier Sir Bernard Edward Fergusson, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby set apart the permanent State forest land described in the Schedule hereto as a State forest park, to be known as Craigieburn State Forest Park.

SCHEDULE

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT—CANTERBURY CONSERVANCY—MALVERN COUNTY

ALL those areas in the Canterbury Land District, Malvern County, containing 11,000 acres, more or less, being:

Firstly: All that area containing 10,500 acres, more or less, being Reserve 3288 and Part Reserve 4694, and bounded by a line commencing at Mt. Cockayne on the Craigieburn Range, Block XI, Harper Survey District, and proceeding north-easterly along the summit of that range to Baldy Hill, Trig. Station V; thence easterly along the watershed of Cass River and Ribbonwood Stream to the general eastern boundary of Reserve 4694; thence generally southerly along that boundary to Reserve 3288; thence south-westerly and northerly generally along the south-eastern and western boundaries of that Reserve to the southern boundary of Reserve 4694; thence westerly along that boundary to the point of commencement.

Secondly: Reserve 3289, situated in Block XVI, Harper Survey District: Area, 500 acres, more or less.

As shown edged red on plan No. S. 66/1 deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, and with the consent of the licensee, hereby revokes the Order in Council dated the 27th day of March 1957, and published in the Gazette on the 28th day of the same month, at page 539, authorising Gerald George Murray, of “Glenmore”, Lake Tekapo, farmer, to use water for the purpose of generating electricity.
