Boundaries of Taupo and Wairoa Counties Altered

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington this 19th day of October 1967

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Local Government Commission Act 1961, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order:

ORDER

1. This order shall take effect on 1 November 1967.
2. The area described in the Schedule hereto is hereby excluded from the district of the County of Taupo and included in the district of the County of Wairoa.
3. The alteration of the boundaries of the said counties hereinbefore made shall be deemed to have been effected under the Counties Act 1956.

SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the South Auckland Land District, County of Taupo, containing 5,056 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at a point in Block VI, Mangahopai West Survey District, in the middle of the Te Hoe River in line with the south-western boundary of Heruwi 4E Block, the said point being on the boundary of the County of Taupo as described in N.Z. Gazette, 1964, page 2272, and proceeding north-westerly along that county boundary to the south-eastern watershed of the Rangitaiki and Whakatane Rivers in Block XIII, Tuwatawata Survey District; thence generally south-westerly along that watershed to the northernmost point of Pohokura No. 1 Block, situated in Block IV, Runanga Survey District; thence generally south-easterly along the generally north-eastern boundary of Pohokura No. 1 Block aforesaid, and its production to the middle of the Te Hoe River, the point of commencement.

Boundaries of Eltham and Hawera Counties Altered

ORDER IN COUNCIL

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Local Government Commission Act 1961, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order:

ORDER

1. This order shall come into effect on 1 April 1968.
2. The area described in the Schedule hereto is hereby excluded from the County of Eltham and included in the County of Hawera.
3. The alteration of boundaries of the said counties hereinbefore made shall be deemed to have been effected under the Counties Act 1956.

SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District comprising portion of the Eltham County and containing approximately 370 acres, bounded by a line commencing at a point in the middle of Ararata Stream in Block XV, Ngaere Survey District, in line with the western boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 6220, and proceeding in a northerly direction to and along that boundary and its production to the middle of Rotokare Road; thence south-westerly and north-westerly generally along the middle of that road to a point in line with the western boundary of Section 11, Block XV, Ngaere Survey District; thence northerly to and along that boundary to the northern boundary of the said Section 11; thence easterly along that boundary to and southerly along its eastern boundary to the northern boundary of part Section 16, Block XV, Ngaere Survey District; thence easterly along that boundary and its production to the middle of Rotokare Road; thence southerly generally along the middle of that road to Old Peg L at the junction of Makino and Rotokare Roads, as shown on D.P. 6220; thence south-westerly along a right line bearing 193° 45′ to the middle of the Ararata Stream; thence generally south-westerly down the middle of that stream to the point of commencement.
