THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE

ASHBURTON

All that area bounded by a line commencing at a point on the sea coast in the middle of the former outlet of Lake Ellesmere (east of Maori Reserve 878), being the westernmost point on the boundary of the Electoral District of Lyttelton, hereinbefore described, and proceeding south-westerly along the sea coast to the middle of the mouth of the Hinds River; thence generally north-westerly up the middle of that river to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Rural Section 31100, in Block VIII, Shepherds Bush Survey District; thence north-easterly to and along that boundary and its production across Barford Road, to and along the middle of Tanks Road and its production across Valetta-Westerfield Road, to and along the north-western boundaries of Rural Sections 21336, 34631, 8860, 26412, 34026, and 36011, and along the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of the south branch of the Ashburton River; thence north-westerly up the middle of that south branch and Taylors Stream to a point in line with the middle of a road forming the south-eastern boundary of Rural Section 34145, in Block V, Spaxton Survey District; thence north-easterly to and along the middle of that road, Alford Forest Cemetery Road, Earlys Road, and across Forks Road, to and along the south-eastern boundary of Lot 3, D.P. 6237, and along the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of the north branch of the Ashburton River; thence generally north-westerly up the middle of that north branch to the southern boundary of Run 119 in Block XI, Mount Somers Survey District; thence generally north-westerly along the southern and western boundaries of Run 119, the south-eastern and south-western boundaries of Run 118A, and the south-western boundary of Run 118 to the middle of Lake Stream; thence northerly down the middle of that stream to the middle of the Rakaia River, and generally westerly up the middle of that river to the middle of the Louper Stream; thence northerly up the middle of that stream to Whitcombe Pass on the summit of the Southern Alps, being a point on the south-eastern boundary of the Electoral District of Westland, hereinbefore described; thence generally north-easterly along that south-eastern boundary, to and along the generally south-western boundary of the Electoral District of Rangiora, hereinbefore described, and the generally western and south-western boundaries of the Electoral District of Wigram, hereinbefore described, to and south-westerly along the north-western boundary of the Electoral District of Lyttelton, hereinbefore described, to the point of commencement.

SOUTH CANTERBURY

All that area bounded by a line commencing at a point on the sea coast in the middle of the mouth of the Hinds River, being a point on the south-western boundary of the Electoral District of Ashburton, hereinbefore described, and proceeding generally south-westerly along the sea coast, crossing the mouths of all harbours and inlets, to the middle of the mouth of the Waitaki River; thence north-westerly up the middle of that river, to and south-westerly up the middle of the Kurow River, to and southerly along the western boundary of Domet Survey District to the northern boundary of Run 576; thence generally south-westerly along the northern and north-western boundaries of Run 576 to Trig. Station N (Mount Kyeburn); thence generally northerly and westerly along the summit of the watershed running through the south-western portion of Run 574 to a point on the eastern side of the road forming the western boundary of Run 574 in line with the northern boundary of Run 591; thence generally westerly to and along the northern boundaries of Runs 591, 575, 219c, and the north-eastern boundary of Run 306A to Trig. Station I (Mount Ida); thence generally north-westerly along the summit of the Hawkduin Mountains to the southern boundary of Gala Survey District; thence westerly along the southern boundaries of Gala and Hawkduin Survey Districts to Mount St. Bathans; thence generally northerly along the western boundaries of Runs 201F, 201B, 201G, and 201B to the westernmost corner of the last-mentioned run; thence generally south-westerly along a leading ridge through Old Man Peak to the Lindis Pass; thence generally north-westerly along the summit of the range passing through Dromedary Hill, Mount Martha, Mount Gladwish, and Mount Huxley, to Mount Strauchan on the summit of the Southern Alps, being a point on the south-eastern boundary of the Electoral District of Westland, hereinbefore described; thence north-easterly along that south-eastern boundary, to and generally south-easterly along the south-western boundary of the Electoral District of Ashburton, hereinbefore described, to the point of commencement; and excluding the Electoral District of Timaru, hereinafter described.

TIMARU

All that area bounded by a line commencing at a point on the sea coast in the middle of the mouth of the Opihi River and proceeding south-westerly along that sea coast, crossing the mouths of all harbours and inlets, to the middle of the mouth of the Otaio River; thence generally north-westerly up the middle of that river to a point in line with the middle line of a public road forming the north-eastern boundary of Rural Section 26589; thence north-westerly to and along the middle of that road to and generally north-easterly along the middle of Colliers Road, Gordons Valley Road, Pareora Main Road, and Holme Station Bridge Road, and along the production of the middle line of the last-mentioned road to the middle of the Pareora River; thence generally north-westerly up the middle of that river to and along the middle of the Pareora Gorge Road to the middle of Wiseleys Road; thence generally north-easterly along the middle of that road to a point due north of the westernmost corner of Section 84, Rosewill Settlement; thence due south to that corner; thence generally easterly along the generally southern boundary of Section 84 aforesaid and that boundary produced to the middle of Summit Road; thence south-easterly along the middle of that road to a point in line with the western boundary of Section 85, Rosewill Settlement; thence northerly to and along that boundary and north-easterly along the north-western boundary of that section and its production to the middle of Limestone Valley Road; thence generally south-easterly along the middle of that road, the road forming the northern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 14727, Taiko Flat Road, Taiko School Zig Zag Road, Sutherland Road, Rural Section 37764 (Closed Road), Cliffs Road, and Frasers Road, to a point in line with the western boundary of Section 117, Rosewill Settlement; thence generally northerly to and along the generally western boundaries of Sections 117 and 116, Rosewill Settlement, and along the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of Rolling Ridges Road; thence generally northerly along the middle of that road, Downs Road, Olivers Road, and Keanes Road and the production of the middle line of the last-mentioned road to the middle of the Fairlie Branch Railway; thence north-westerly along the middle of that railway to a point in line with the middle of Butlers Road; thence north-easterly to and along the middle of Butlers Road to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Rural Section 10453; thence north-westerly to and along that north-eastern boundary to the northernmost corner of that section; thence north-easterly along a right line, being the production of the north-western boundary of Section 10453 aforesaid, to the middle of Opihi River; thence easterly down the middle of that river to the point of commencement; and including all wharves and other extensions seawards.
