All that area bounded by a line commencing at a point on the sea coast in the middle of the mouth of the Waitaki River, being a point on the southern boundary of the Electoral District of South Canterbury, hereinbefore described, and proceeding generally south-westerly along the sea coast, crossing the mouths of all harbours and inlets, to and generally south-westerly along the generally north-western shore of the Otago Harbour to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Section 13, Upper Harbour West Survey District; thence north-westerly to and along that south-western boundary and the south-western boundaries of Sections 63 and 2 of 5, Block IX, North Harbour and Blueskin Survey District, to the intersection of the last-mentioned boundary with a right line between Trig. Station E, situated in Block IX, North Harbour and Blueskin Survey District, and the northernmost corner of Section 2 of 5 aforesaid; thence south-westerly along that right line to Trig. Station E aforesaid and along another right line in the direction of the southernmost corner of Section 51, Block IX, North Harbour and Blueskin Survey District, to the north-eastern boundary of Section 1 of 29, Block IX, North Harbour and Blueskin Survey District; thence north-westerly along that north-eastern boundary and its production to the middle of Signal Hill Road; thence westerly along the middle of that road to a point in line with the middle line of Montague Street; thence north-westerly to and along the middle of that street, to and north-easterly along the middle of North Road and Norwood Street to the middle of Bonnington Street; thence generally north-westerly along the middle of Bonnington Street, Campbells Road, and Penkill Street, and along the production of the middle line of the last-mentioned street to the middle of Pine Hill Road; thence south-westerly along the middle of Pine Hill Road and Cowan Road, and along the production of the middle line of the last-mentioned road to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Section 1, Block VIII, North Harbour and Blueskin Survey District; thence north-westerly along a right line to the easternmost corner of Section 1 aforesaid and south-westerly along the south-eastern boundaries of Sections 1, 3, and 4, Block VIII aforesaid, to and north-westerly along the south-western boundary of Section 4 aforesaid, to the westernmost corner of that section; thence westerly along a right line to the northernmost corner of Section 81, Block V, Dunedin and East Taieri Survey District; thence south-westerly and south-easterly along the north-western and south-western boundaries of Section 81 aforesaid to the right bank of the Water of Leith; thence southerly along that right bank to a point due east of the southernmost corner of Section 73, Block V aforesaid; thence due west along a right line to the southernmost corner of that section and north-westerly along its south-western boundary to the southern side of a public road through Sections 73 and 75, Block V aforesaid; thence westerly along that southern side, to and south-westerly and north-westerly along the south-eastern and south-western boundaries of Section 75, Block V aforesaid, to the southernmost corner of Section 54, Block V aforesaid; thence northerly along the eastern boundaries of Sections 54 and 55, Block V aforesaid, to the south-western side of a public road forming the north-eastern boundary of Section 76, Block V aforesaid; thence south-easterly along the south-western side of that road to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Section 9, Block V aforesaid; thence generally north-easterly to and along that south-eastern boundary and the south-eastern boundaries of Sections 10 and 11, Block V aforesaid, to the easternmost corner of the last-mentioned section, and along a right line to the southernmost corner of Section 3, Block V aforesaid; thence northerly along the eastern boundary of Section 3 aforesaid to Trig. Station D aforesaid and the southernmost corner of Run 205e, Strath Taieri Survey District, to its intersection with the eastern boundary of Block VII, Strath Taieri Survey District; thence generally northerly along the eastern boundary of the said BlockVII to a point in line with the northern boundary of Section 17, Block VII aforesaid; thence generally westerly to and along the northern boundaries of Sections 17 and 18, Block VII aforesaid, and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the south-eastern boundary of Section 1, Block III, Strath Taieri Survey District; thence south-westerly and north-westerly along the south-eastern and south-western boundaries of Section 1 aforesaid, to the intersection of the last-mentioned boundary with the right line aforesaid between Trig. Station D (Hummock) and the southernmost corner of Run 205e, Strath Taieri Survey District; thence north-westerly along that right line to the middle of the Taieri River; thence generally northerly up the middle of that river, to and generally north-easterly up the middle of the Horseburn to its source approximately 36 chains south-east of Trig. Station A (Flat Hill); thence north-westerly along a right line to the said Trig. Station A; thence due east along the southern boundary of Swinburn Survey District to the middle of McLeods Road; thence generally north-easterly along the middle of McLeods Road, being along the summit of a leading ridge, to a point 40 chains due south of the northern boundary of Section 1, Block XIII, Swinburn Survey District; thence north-easterly to and along the middle of a stream to the middle of the Shag River; thence generally north-easterly along the middle of that river to its source and along a right line to Trig. Station A (Kakanui Peak); thence generally north-westerly along the south-western boundary of Run 681 and its production to the middle of a public road along the summit of the Kakanui Mountains; thence generally north-westerly along the middle of that road to Trig. Station I (Mount Nobbler); thence generally north-easterly along the western boundary of Run 510 to Dansey Pass; thence generally north-westerly along the eastern boundary of Run 576 to Trig. Station Y, in Block VIII, Domet Survey District; thence south-westerly and northerly along the watershed through Run 576 to the northern boundary of that run; thence north-westerly along that northern boundary to its intersection with the western boundary of Domet Survey District, being a point on the generally southern boundary of the Electoral District of South Canterbury, hereinbefore described; thence generally easterly along that generally southern boundary to the point of commencement; and including Goat and Quarantine Islands, and also including all wharves and other extensions seawards.
