2: The principal order is hereby amended by adding after
the word “Board” in the heading thereto, the words “Water
Power and”.
- The principal order is hereby further amended by
deleting clause 2 thereof and substituting the following:
“2 (a) Subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, the
Marlborough Electric Power Board (hereinafter referred to
as ‘the licensee’) is hereby granted a licence to obstruct,
impound, or divert the waters (hereinafter referred to as the
‘said waters’) of the Waihopai River (hereinafter referred
to as the ‘said river’); to raise or lower the level thereof,
and to take and use therefrom, for the purpose hereinafter
set forth, a stream of water not exceeding 350 cu. ft. per
second, and to lay, construct, put up, place, and use electric
lines and to construct electric works which may from time
to time be required for the distribution and supply of
electricity within the area described in the Schedule hereto;
(b) The said water shall be taken from the said river at
a point indicated on the plan marked N.Z.E.D. 743 deposited
in the office of the New Zealand Electricity Department at
Wellington, and shall be used solely for the purpose of
generating electricity;
(c) The conditions directed to be implied in all licences
by the Water Power Regulations 1934 and all regulations
made in amendment thereof or in substitution therefor, shall
be incorporated herein and shall form part of this licence,
except in so far as they may be inconsistent with the pro-
visions of this licence;
(d) The licensee is hereby authorised, subject to the
conditions hereof, to construct, maintain, and use the works
described in the Schedule hereto, the position of the said
works being indicated on the aforesaid plan;
(e) The licensee shall, in respect of this licence, pay to
the District Electrical Engineer of the New Zealand Electricity
Department, or otherwise as the Minister of Electricity may
from time to time require, a rental as set out in the water
Power Regulations 1934, Amendment No. 3;
(f) Nothing in this licence shall in itself be deemed to
confer upon the licensee any right to water.”

All references to the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935
shall be read as referring to the Electrical Supply Regulations
1967, and “regulation 15” shall be read for “regulation 21–01”
in paragraph 5. -
The principal order is hereby further amended by deleting
the Schedule thereto and substituting the following:

(a) Headworks consisting of a dam and necessary intake
and including a siphon and dredge;
(b) Tunnel and pipeline leading from such dam to the
powerhouse hereinafter referred to;
(c) A powerhouse with all necessary equipment including
water turbines, generators, transformers, lightning
arresters, switchboards, switches, exciters, and other
appliances for generating electricity.”

Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, and on the
recommendation of the Postmaster-General, hereby appoints
Lawrence William Keys
to be a member of the Post Office Staff Tribunal to represent
the Postmaster-General to hold office until 31 March 1968,
and
Joseph George Stapleton
to be a member of the Post Office Staff Tribunal on the
nomination of the Post Office Association (Incorporated),
to hold office for a term of three years from the date of this
appointment.

- This Order may be cited as the Hawke’s Bay Savings
Bank Order 1962, Amendment No. 2, and shall be read
together with and deemed part of the Hawke’s Bay Savings
Bank Order 1962* (hereinafter referred to as the principal
Order). - (1) The principal Order is hereby amended by revoking
clause 11 (as substituted by clause 2 of the Hawke’s Bay
Savings Bank Order 1962, Amendment No. 1).
(2) The Hawke’s Bay Savings Bank Order 1962, Amendment
No. 1, is hereby consequentially revoked.
