A plan showing the land proposed to be taken, and the land to be severed together with the portions of the road to be stopped, is available for public inspection at the office of the Tauranga County Council, Barke’s Corner, Cameron Road, Tauranga, during forty (40) days from the date of the first publication of this notice. All persons having well grounded objections to any of the above-mentioned proposals are hereby called upon to set forth their objections in writing, and to lodge the same in the office of the Council, on or before the 16th day of October 1967.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

——

NOTICE is hereby given that the Hawke’s Bay County Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to execute a certain public work, namely, to realign portion of State Highway 50, and for the purposes of or in connection with such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken, is deposited in the public office of the Hawke’s Bay County Council, situate in Browning Street, Napier, and is open for inspection without fee, by all persons, during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such land should, if they have any objection to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land, not being objections to the amount or payment of compensation set forth the same in writing, and send the written objection within 40 days of the first publication of this notice, to the Hawke’s Bay County Council at its office aforesaid, and that if any objection is made in accordance with this notice a public hearing of the objection will be held unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LANDS FOR ROAD

——

IN the matter of the Public Works Act 1928, notice is hereby given that the Rotorua City Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Act, to execute a certain public work, namely, the provision of a public road or street for the widening of an existing public road or street, and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands to be taken,

is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk of the City of Rotorua, situated at Arawa Street, in the City of Rotorua, and is open for inspection without fee, by all persons, during office hours.

Every person affected by the execution of the said public work, or by the taking of any of the said lands, who may have any objections which he may wish to make to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands or any of them, not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation, must set forth his objections in writing and send the same within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the Town Clerk addressed to him at the Council Office, Arawa Street, in the City of Rotorua. If any such objection is made, a public hearing of the objection will be held unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

(1) All that piece of land containing decimal five perches (0.5 p.), more or less, being part of Lot 5 on Deposited Plan 29934, and being part of the Kawaha 5M 2 Block, and part of the land comprised in certificate of title, Volume 813, folio 255, situated at the corner of Kawaha Point Road and Pah Road, and coloured yellow on Survey Office Plan 44063.

(2) All that piece of land containing one decimal nine perches (1.9 p.), more or less, being part of Lot 7 on Deposited Plan 29934, and being part of the Kawaha 5M 2 Block, and part of the land comprised in certificate of title, Volume 812, folio 282, and known as No. 150 Kawaha Point Road, and coloured blue on Survey Office Plan 44063.

(3) All that piece of land containing two decimal seven perches (2.7 p.), more or less, being part of Lot 55 on Deposited Plan 22126, and being part of the Kawaha 5N 2F Block, and part of the land comprised in certificate of title, Volume 699, folio 83, and known as No. 160 Kawaha Point Road, and coloured yellow on Survey Office Plan 44063.

(4) All that piece of land containing two decimal four perches (2.4 p.), more or less, being part of Lot 54 on Deposited Plan 22126, and being part of the Kawaha 5N 2F Block, and part of the land comprised in certificate of title, Volume 699, folio 83, and known as No. 160 Kawaha Point Road, and coloured yellow on Survey Office Plan 44063.

All which pieces of land are situated in Block XIII of the Rotoiti Survey District within the City of Rotorua.

BOROUGH OF GLEN EDEN

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

——

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Glen Eden Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of $200,000, authorised to be raised by the Glen Eden Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of constructing and re-constructing roads and footpaths and upgrading the Borough water supply, the said Glen Eden Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0.5555 cents in the $1 (1¾d. in the £1) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Glen Eden, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The foregoing resolution was passed at a duly constituted meeting of the Glen Eden Borough Council held on the 12th day of September 1967.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Glen Eden Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of $40,000, authorised to be raised by the Glen Eden Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for completing the purpose for which the Sewer Reticulation Loan 1961 of £200,000 was sanctioned, the said Glen Eden Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0.09375 cents in the $1 (¾d. in the £1) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Glen Eden, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 35 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The foregoing resolution was passed at a duly constituted meeting of the Glen Eden Borough Council held on the 12th day of September 1967.
