The Traffic (Kawakawa Town District) Notice 1967

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Kawakawa Town District) Notice 1967.

2. The roads specified in the Schedule hereto are hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

3. The Warrant under section 36 of the Transport Act 1949 dated the 29th day of June 1959*, which relates to Kawakawa Town District, is hereby revoked.

SCHEDULE

SITUATED within the Kawakawa Town District:

No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) (from the northern boundary of Kawakawa Town District to a point 16 chains measured south-easterly generally along the said highway from the said boundary and from a point 3 chains measured southerly generally along the said highway from Macfarlane Street to the eastern boundary of Kawakawa Town District).

Albert Street (from a point 26 chains measured southerly generally along the said street from Church Street to Noyes Road).

Hospital Road (from a point 4 chains measured southerly generally along the said road from Smeaths Road to the southern boundary of Kawakawa Town District).

Mill Road (from a point 16 chains measured southerly generally along the said road from Boswell Road to the western boundary of Kawakawa Town District).

Noyes Road (from the southern boundary of Kawakawa Town District to Sub Station Road).

Sub Station Road.

The Traffic (Hawke’s Bay County) Notice 1967

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Hawke’s Bay County) Notice 1967.

2. The area specified in the Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, to the intent that a person driving any motor vehicle thereon at any time during the period commencing with the 20th day of December each year, and ending with the 10th day of February in the next ensuing year, and the period commencing with the Thursday preceding Easter, and ending with the Tuesday following Easter, shall be subject to the maximum speed limit of 30 miles per hour fixed by the said section.

3. The area specified in the Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a limited speed zone for the purpose of regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956*, to the intent that a person driving any motor vehicle thereon at any time during the period commencing with the 11th day of February in each year, and ending with the 19th day of December each year, but excluding the period commencing with the Thursday preceding Easter, and ending with the Tuesday following Easter, shall be subject to the speed limitation fixed by the said regulations.

4. The Warrant under section 36 of the Transport Act 1949 and Traffic Regulations 1956*, dated the 4th day of May 1959†, is hereby revoked.

3. The road specified in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a limited speed zone for the purpose of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.

Declaring Land Acquired for a Government Work at Picton and Not Required for That Purpose to be Crown Land and Revoking a Previous Notice

PURSUANT to section 35 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Railways hereby declares the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act 1948 as from the 11th day of September 1967, and hereby revokes, pursuant to authority under section 25 (j) of the Acts Interpretation Act 1924, the notice dated the 14th day of August 1962, published in Gazette, 16 August 1962, No. 52, at page 1338, and registered as No. 38074, Marlborough Land Registry.
