Declaring Land Acquired for a Government Work and Not Required for That Purpose to be Crown Land

PURSUANT to section 35 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works hereby declares the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land, subject to the Land Act 1948, as from the 11th day of September 1967.

SCHEDULE

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT

ALL that piece of land containing 1 rood 13.6 perches situated in Block XVI, Rangiora Survey District, Canterbury R.D., being part Lot 1, D.P. 8799 (being part Rural Section 1852) and parts of Rural Section 11575. All of the land in Proclamation No. 327887, Canterbury Land Registry.

Notice of Intention to Take Additional Land for Road in Block VI, Ruakaka Survey District, Whangarei County

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for road, and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the Post Office at Ruakaka, and it is there open for inspection; that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any objections to the taking of the said land, not being objections to the amount or payment of compensation, set forth the same in writing, and send written objection within 40 days of the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington; and that, if any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing of the objection will be held unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

The land described in the Schedule hereto is situated at the intersection of Yovich Road and State Highway No. 1, and is the land lying within the boundaries of that intersection.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that piece of land containing 23.5 perches situated in Block VI, Ruakaka Survey District, Whangarei County, North Auckland R.D., and being part Allotment 63, Ruakaka Parish; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 21135 (S.O. 45231) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow, edged yellow.

Town and Country Planning Act 1953—Birkenhead Borough District Scheme (Notice of Extension of Period of Effectiveness of Refusals and Prohibitions)

PURSUANT to subsection (6) of section 38 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953, notice is hereby given that the period of effectiveness of each refusal or prohibition made by the Birkenhead Borough Council in the interests of the Birkenhead Borough District Scheme, which refusal or prohibition but for this notice would expire between the date of public notification hereof and the 1st day of December 1967 inclusive, is hereby extended to the said 1st day of December 1967.

Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1964

PURSUANT to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1964*, the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 16 of the said regulations so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors shall not apply to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provisions shall apply:

A motor driver’s licence issued under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1964* to the person described in column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorise him to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of his employment for the employer described in column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorise him, while he is under the age of 18 years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.
