RANGITIKEI CATCHMENT BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Porewa Valley Control Scheme Loan 1964, £35,000—Third Portion £5,000 ($10,000)

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act 1941, and all other powers and authorities it enabling, the Rangitikei Catchment Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £5,000 ($10,000), being the third part of the Porewa Valley Control Scheme Loan 1964, £35,000, authorised to be raised by the Rangitikei Catchment Board for the carrying out of the Porewa Valley Control Scheme, to make and levy a special rate on a graduated scale according to the Porewa Valley Control Scheme classification list of the said area, as follows:

0.547 cents in the dollar on class A land
0.318 cents in the dollar on class B land
0.153 cents in the dollar on class C land
0.0269 cents in the dollar on class D land
0.0164 cents in the dollar on class E land
0.0055 cents in the dollar on class F land
0.0437 cents in the dollar on class U1 land
0.0110 cents in the dollar on class U2 land

and shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable in one sum yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

ROTORUA COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Rural Housing Loan No. 4, 1967—£15,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Rotorua County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £15,000, authorised to be raised by the Rotorua County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of making advances for the erection of houses on rural lands in the County in terms of the Rural Housing Act 1939, the said Rotorua County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.0373d. in the pound (decimal zero three seven three pence in the pound), on the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property in the whole of the County of Rotorua, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 35 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Council held on Tuesday, the 27th day of June 1967.

WHANGAREI CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Pensioners Flats Loan 1967—Otangarei Stage II, £24,600

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Whangarei City Council at a meeting held on the 7th day of June 1967, passed the following resolution:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of twenty-four thousand six hundred pounds (£24,600), authorised to be raised by the Whangarei City Council for the purpose of erecting accommodation for old people, the said Whangarei City Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.0271d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the City of Whangarei, and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan or until the loan is paid off, and the said Council doth hereby appropriate and pledge the said rate as security for the said loan.”

COROMANDEL COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Coromandel County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £15,000, authorised to be raised by the Coromandel County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purchase of land and erecting four staff dwelling houses thereon, the said Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.084 pence in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the whole of the Coromandel County, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

EAST COAST BAYS BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Repayment Loan 1967, £24,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the East Coast Bays Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £24,000, authorised to be raised by the East Coast Bays Borough Council under the provisions of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, for the purpose of repaying on maturity those portions of the Roading Improvement Loan 1956, £100,000, which mature on 1 December 1967, the said East Coast Bays Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought eight five pence (0.085d.) in the pound upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property in the Borough of East Coast Bays, and that the said special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed by the East Coast Bays Borough Council at a duly constituted meeting held on the 7th day of June 1967.

INVERCARGILL CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Development and Expansion Loan 1963, £500,000—Third Issue of £50,000

“THAT, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £50,000, authorised to be raised by the Invercargill City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of developing and expanding the waterworks, drainage, and street systems of the city, the said Invercargill City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought five six pence (0.056d.) in the pound on the rateable value on the basis of the unimproved value of all rateable property in the City of Invercargill, and that the said special rate shall be payable yearly on the 30th day of June in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
