“That, for the purpose of providing for the repayment of
the principal, interest, and other charges on the Board’s
Reticulation Loan 1966 of £270,000 ($540,000), authorised to
be raised by the Franklin Electric Power Board under the
above-mentioned Act for the purpose of further reticulating,
supplying, and developing the Franklin Electric Power Board
District, and for such purpose to do all or any such matters
and things which the Board is empowered to do by the
Electric Power Boards Act 1925 and its amendments, and
by all other powers and authorities it enabling, the Franklin
Electric Power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate
of three-fifths of a penny (⅗d.) in the pound (£) upon the
rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of
all rateable property in the Franklin Electric Power District,
and such rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the
currency of the said loan and be payable yearly on the 15th
day of February in each and every year, being a period of
10 years, or until the loan is fully repaid.”

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Pensioners’ Flats Loan 1966—£4,300
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Wairoa Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing annual charges on a
loan of £4,300, authorised to be raised by the Wairoa
Borough Council under the Local Authorities Loans Act
1956, and regulations thereunder, and of all other powers
in that behalf enabling it, for the purpose of purchasing land
and erecting accommodation for aged persons, the said
Wairoa Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of
decimal nought six nought seven of a penny (.0607d.) in
the pound, upon the rateable value of all local property
of the Borough of Wairoa, comprising the whole of the
Borough, and that the special rate shall be an annual-
recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable
yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during
the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until
the loan is fully paid off.”
The foregoing resolution was passed at a meeting of the
Wairoa Borough Council held on the 20th day of March
1967.

Development Loan No. 1, 1967, £122,220
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Masterton Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of £122,220, authorised to be raised by the Masterton
Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the
purpose of upgrading and extending water and sewer services
and road works, the said Masterton Borough Council hereby
makes a special rate of 0.4d. in the pound upon the rateable
value of all rateable property in the Borough of Masterton,
and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate
during the currency of the loan and be payable half yearly
on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of September in each
and every year during the currency of the loan, being a
period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

RESOLUTION TO MAKE SPECIAL RATE

Streets Loan 1966, £120,000, ($240,000)
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it
in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Lower Hutt City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of one hundred and twenty thousand
pounds (£120,000) ($240,000), authorised to be raised by
the Lower Hutt City Council under the above-named Act,
for the purpose of extending Connolly Street and Myrtle
Street, constructing a grade separation at the western approach
of Ewen Bridge, and reconstructing streets, the said Lower
Hutt City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate
of five hundred and eighty-seven thousandths of a penny
in the pound (£) (0.587d.), on the rateable value (on the
basis of the annual value) on all the rateable property in
the City of Lower Hutt, and that such special rate shall be
an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan,
and be incorporated and added to the consolidated special
rate made pursuant to the provisions of section 108A of the
Municipal Corporations Act 1954, and be payable yearly on
or about the 1st day of August in each and every year
during the currency of such loan, being a period of 25
years, or until such time as the loan is paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed
at the meeting of the Lower Hutt City Council held on 24
January 1967.

Wellington City Housing Development (Townsend Estate)
Loan 1967 of £380,000
THE following resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the
Wellington City Council held on the 3rd day of April 1967:
“Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Wellington City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a
loan of three hundred and eighty thousand pounds
(£380,000), to be known as the Wellington City Housing
Development (Townsend Estate) Loan 1967 of £380,000,
authorised to be raised by the Wellington City Council under
the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of developing land
for housing, the Wellington City Council hereby makes a
special rate of decimal nought eight two of a penny (.082d.)
in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unim-
proved value) of all rateable property within the whole of
the City of Wellington, and that the said special rate shall be
an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and
shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each year
during the currency of the said loan, being a period of forty
(40) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Timaru City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charge on
the loan of £19,400, to be known as the Renewal Loan No.
1, 1967, authorised to be raised by the Timaru City Council
under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of redeem-
ing on the 19th day of April 1967, £19,400 of the Municipal
Buildings Loan 1955—£30,000, the said Timaru City Council
hereby makes a special rate of eighty-two thousandths of a
penny (.082d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on
the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property
in the City of Timaru, and that the said special rate shall
be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the said
loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each
and every year during the currency of the said loan, being a
period of 10 years, or until such loan is fully paid off.”
The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the
Timaru City Council held on the 20th day of March 1967.

NOTICE is hereby given that application has been made by
Auckland Handle and Dowel Co. Ltd. for consent to a
conditional use within the operative district scheme of the
Borough of Mount Wellington, in that the applicant wishes
the below-described land to be utilised for the purposes of
erecting thereon, and operating therefrom, a service station
for the retail sale of motor spirits, lubricants, tyres, and motor
accessories, and a garage for the repair of motor vehicles.
The property is situated at No. 80 Carbine Road, Mount
Wellington, and is located in the industrial zone.
The legal description of the land is all that piece of land
containing one acre, more or less, being Lot 1, Deposited
Plan 42700, and being part of Hamlin’s Grant, and being all
the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume
1161, folio 48, North Auckland Registry.
