BALCLUTHA BOROUGH COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
NOTICE is hereby given that the Balclutha Borough Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928 and the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and their Amendments, to take the lands described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of extending James Street in the Borough of Balclutha; and notice is hereby further given that a plan showing the land proposed to be taken is deposited in the public offices of the Balclutha Borough Council, situated at Clyde Street, Balclutha, and is there open for inspection by all persons during ordinary office hours.
Every person affected who wishes to make any objection to the taking of the said land (not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation) must state his objection in writing and send the same, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Town Clerk, Balclutha Borough Council, Balclutha.
SCHEDULE
First: All those parcels of land containing one (1) rood twenty-nine decimal eight (29.8) poles, be the same a little more or less, being parts Lots twenty-five (25); twenty-six (26) and twenty-seven (27), D.P. 1681, being also parts Sections six (6) and seven (7), Block thirty-five (XXXV), Clutha Survey District, and being part of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Dunedin Register Book, Volume 136, folio 150, as the same are more particularly delineated on S.O. Plan 15873 and thereon coloured blue.
Second: All that parcel of land containing one tenth (0.2) of a pole, be the same a little more or less, being part Lot twenty-four (24), D.P. 1681, being also part Section Six (6), Block thirty-five (XXXV), Clutha Survey District, and being part of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Dunedin Register Book, Volume 166, folio 171, as the same is more particularly delineated on S.O. Plan 15873 and thereon coloured blue.
The parcels of land described in this Schedule are situated at High Street, in the Borough of Balclutha, approximately opposite the intersection of James and High Streets.

The Christchurch City Council, at a meeting held on the 20th day of March 1967, passed the above resolution.

Renewal Loan (No. 2), 1967, £67,500
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and its amendments, and all other powers it in that behalf enabling, the Christchurch City Council hereby resolves:
“That, for the purpose of providing principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of sixty-seven thousand five hundred pounds (£67,500), to be raised by the Christchurch City Council under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and its amendments, for the purpose of repaying on maturity those portions of the Street Improvements Loan 1957, £240,000, Water Supply Extension Loan 1954, £200,000, and Roading Loan 1955, £500,000, which mature on 1 September 1967, the said Christchurch City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of eighty-seven two thousand five hundredths of a penny (£7/2500d.) in the pound (£.000145) on on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property comprised within the City of Christchurch; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate payable on demand during the currency of the said loan.”
The Christchurch City Council, at a meeting held on the 20th day of March 1967, passed the above resolution.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and its amendments, and all other powers it in that behalf enabling, the Christchurch City Council hereby resolves:
“That, for the purpose of providing principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of eighty thousand six hundred pounds (£80,600), to be raised by the Christchurch City Council under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and its amendments, for the purpose of repaying on maturity those portions of the Aerodrome Development Loan 1957, £400,000, and the Bridges Loan 1952, £35,000, which mature on 1 December 1967, the said Christchurch City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of two thousand and seventy-three fifty thousandths of a penny (£2073/0000d.) in the pound (£.00017275) on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property comprised within the City of Christchurch; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate payable on demand during the currency of the said loan.”
The Christchurch City Council, at a meeting held on the 20th day of March 1967, passed the above resolution.

KAIKOHE BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
War Memorial Redemption Loan 1967, £2,000
Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Kai kohe Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on the loan of two thousand pounds (£2,000), authorised to be raised by the Kaikohe Borough Council under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, for the purpose of repaying on maturity that portion of the War Memorial Loan 1956, the said Kaikohe Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of three sixteenths pence (£3/16d.) in the pound upon the rate able value of all rateable property in the Kaikohe Borough district; and that the special rate shall be an annual recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of five (5) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
