Boundaries of the County of Waitotara and City of Wanganui Altered

At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 13th day of March 1967

Present:

THE RIGHT HON. J. R. MARSHALL, PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Local Government Commission Act 1961, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

1. This order shall take effect on 1 April 1967.
2. The areas described in the Schedule hereto are hereby excluded from the County of Waitotara and included in the City of Wanganui.
3. The said alteration shall be deemed to have been effected under the Municipal Corporations Act 1954.

SCHEDULE

FIRSTLY, all that area in the Wellington Land District containing 37 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at the south-western corner of Lot 7, D.P. 2006, in Block VIII, Westmere Survey District, being a point on the Wanganui City boundary, as described in Gazette, 1966, p. 125, and proceeding along the southern boundaries of Lots 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6, D.P. 2006, to the western corner of Lot 6, D.P. 2006; thence along the western boundary of that lot and its production to the south-western boundary of Lot 66, D.P. 4484; thence generally northerly along the south-western and north-western boundaries of that lot to the south-western side of Lincoln Road; thence by a right line to a point in the middle of Lincoln and Chester Roads, being a point on the Wanganui City boundary; thence generally southerly along that boundary to the point of commencement.

Secondly, all that area in the Wellington Land District containing 226 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at the northernmost corner of Lot 35, Block III, D.P. 4484, in Block VIII, Westmere Survey District, being a point on the Wanganui City Boundary, as described in Gazette, 1966, p. 125, and proceeding north-easterly along the north-western boundary of Lot 1, Block IV, D.P. 4484, the abutment of Devon Road, the north-western boundaries of Lot 1, D.P. 19807, Lots 24 and 23, D.P. 26987, the south-eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 26195, the north-western boundary of Section 13, Right Bank Wanganui River and its production across Springvale Road to and along the south-eastern boundaries of Lot 6, D.P. 4953, and Lots 19, 20, and 34, D.P. 2675, to the easternmost corner of Lot 34 aforesaid being a point on the Wanganui City boundary; thence generally southerly and north-westerly along that boundary to the point of commencement.

Prescribing Scale of Principal and Interest Payable Under Section 333 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954

PURSUANT to the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby prescribes a scale of principal and interest payments for loans repayable over a period of 20 years, with interest at the rate of 5½ percent per annum.

SCALE

AMOUNT of principal and interest payable during each period of six months for every £100 of unpaid purchase money or advance at 5½ percent interest for a period of 20 years:

Loan of £100 for 20 years at 5½ percent per annum
Half-yearly Instalment = £4 3s. 1d.

PURSUANT to the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby prescribes a scale of principal and interest, payments for loans repayable over a period of 20 years, with interest at the rate of 5 percent per annum.
