THE RIGHT HON. KEITH HOLYOAKE, C.H., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL PURSUANT to section 50 of the Education Act 1964, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER

This order may be cited as the Avondale College Board of Governors Order 1966, Amendment No. 1, and shall be read together with, and deemed part of, the Avondale College Board of Governors Order 1966* (hereinafter referred to as the principal order).

Clause 2 of the principal order is hereby amended by omitting from paragraph (d) the words "Avondale Old Pupils' Association", and substituting the words "Avondale College Past Pupils' Association".

Pukekohe High School Board of Governors Order 1967

THE RIGHT HON. KEITH HOLYOAKE, C.H., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL PURSUANT to sections 50 and 51 of the Education Act 1964, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council hereby makes the following order.
ORDER
- (1) This order may be cited as the Pukekohe High School Board of Governors Order 1967.
(2) This order shall come into force on the 1st day of June 1967.
- The Board of Governors of Pukekohe High School shall be constituted as follows:
(a) One member appointed by the Auckland Education Board;
(b) Six members elected by the parents of the pupils attending the school, of which members at least one shall be a woman;
(c) One member appointed by the Pukekohe Borough Council;
(d) One member appointed by the Franklin County Council;
(e) One member appointed by the Pukekohe High School Old Pupils Association;
(f) One member co-opted by the Board itself if and when it thinks fit.
- The Order in Council made on the 3rd day of August 1953*, relating to the constitution of the Board of Managers of Pukekohe High School, is hereby revoked.

Christchurch Technical Institute Order 1967

At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 1st day of February 1967
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. KEITH HOLYOAKE, C.H., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL PURSUANT to section 69 of the Education Act 1964, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER
- (1) This order may be cited as the Christchurch Technical Institute Order 1967.
(2) This order shall come into force on the 1st day of April 1967.
- The Board of Governors for the control of the Christchurch Technical Institute shall be known as the Christchurch Technical Institute Board of Governors, and shall consist of the following members:
(a) One member appointed by the Christchurch City Council;
(b) One member appointed by the Canterbury branch of the New Zealand Institute of Architects;
(c) One member appointed by the Canterbury branch of the New Zealand Institution of Engineers;
(d) Four members elected by the associations of employees in local industries;
(e) Four members elected by the associations of employers in local industries;
(f) One member appointed by the Council of the University of Canterbury;
(g) One member appointed by the Canterbury Chamber of Commerce; and
(h) Four members co-opted by the Board itself, one of whom is to be a woman at any time while there is no other woman member of the Board.
- (1) Subject to the provisions of this clause, the members of the Christchurch Technical Institute Board of Governors shall hold office for a term of three years, but may from time to time be reappointed or re-elected.
(2) Except in the case of a casual vacancy, every member shall hold office until the 31st day of March in the third year after the year of his appointment or election, and if on the 31st day of March the appointment or election of his successor has not been notified to the Board, he shall continue to hold office until the date on which that appointment or election is notified.
(3) If any member dies, or resigns his office by writing under his hand addressed to the Board or the chairman or the secretary thereof, or is absent without leave from the meetings of the Board for three consecutive months, or while holding office becomes for any reason ineligible to remain a member, the casual vacancy so created shall be filled as soon as practicable thereafter by the appointment or election of a member in the manner in which the vacating member was appointed or elected, and the member appointed or elected to fill the vacancy shall hold office for the residue of the term of office of the member whom he replaces.
(4) The powers of the Board shall not be affected by any vacancy in the membership thereof.

Directing the Revision of District Valuation Rolls

Present:
THE RIGHT HON. KEITH HOLYOAKE, C.H., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL PURSUANT to the Valuation of Land Act 1951, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby directs that the District Valuation Rolls for the districts enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be revised by the Valuer-General as at 1 February 1967.
SCHEDULE
City: Rotorua.
Boroughs: Havelock North, Kaitaia.
Counties: Franklin, Taieri, Tauranga, Waipukurau.

PURSUANT to the discretion conferred upon him by subsection (2) of section 9, Valuation of Land Act 1951, the Valuer-General intends to exercise the authority conferred by the foregoing Order in Council, so far as it relates to Taieri County, by not revising those properties to be included in Mosgiel Borough, in accordance with Order in Council dated 14 December 1966.
